God gave us free will.He hoped we would see how to treat each other and live in that way, but, with free will, we have a choice in how to treat others. Man/woman created evil if that means anything from bad behavior to murder. Life is many, continous lessons. We are the ones that, hopefully, are taught right from wrong. By our parents, teachers and other outside/inside influences. WE choose how to behave. Free will. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. We put ourselves in these positions or are found in vulnerable positions by those intent on doing wrong. They are life lessons. God created beings in His image and likeness, but, He gave us free will. That is where evil/bad things come into being.

Jesus Christ was not (I think) counted in the Census ordered by Augustus Caeaser, because, the Holy Family exiled themselves into Egypt to prevent Herod's decree of death to newborn infants. Jesus, was, however, I am sure, presented at the temple in Jersusalem.
So, Winston Churchill was born ( and I have been to his home in England, not inside, but, our tour bus drove up the driveway).

I am grounded in my faith in God and that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Scientology doesn't hurt me, as far as I know. I have read some of L. Ron Hubbards books. They made sense.

Spider, I read the texts/scripture as you suggested. I see where this "rapture" idea evolved. However, its a little confused. In reading Revelations, I understood and what I understand is confirmed by my church, that, not until after the battle between Jesus and satan, does the final judgement come. Those "faithful" who remain, after the wars and wraths and plagues occur, are only then taken up to heaven, body and soul, as well as those who have died before this(the rightous must bear testimony to this battle) to find the answers to all of their questions and those left on earth who are lead astray by satan, go into an abyss of fire to be destroyed "forever". The earth "new Jerusalem" could not be, if there were deciples of satan left here. Then "a new Jerusalem" is possible. I truely believe that we will again inhabit the earth again, as it was given to "Adam and Eve" to enjoy in immortality. Amen and amen.

Brandy's mothers prayer is none of your business, kenneth. You think to take more upon yourself than you are able to sustain. Prayers in earnest are answered in one way or another. It matters not what her mothers prayer was/is. What matters is that she reached out in prayer.

No, Brandy, He is listening to everyone. How could He be the creator, and not listen to His childrens prayers, joys, woes and hopes? He is. He listens. He hears the saints and the sinners. The thing is, it's a different level He is on. He sees the long term effects of the answers to a prayer. Sometimes, it seems that prayers aren't answered. In reality, they are all answered, just sometimes the answer is "no", "later", "maybe" or "soon" and of course, "yes", depending on His wisdom to see the past, present and future and because He is the "one" who knew us, before we were in our mother's wombs.

Brandy, we can be "sinners and believers" in this day and time. The scripture refers to those who do not believe as "sinners". Now we know that we are all sinners. There are sinners who believe in The Lord, God Almighty, and sinners who do not believe in God or Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
The belief must be that there is a God and Jesus Christ is the Way to God.
Kenneth, you are misleading. There are people who worship the "sun", and many other things. Belief is faith that their is a God and The son of God is and we know our prayers are heard. Yeah, Satan believes he can lead us away from God, the way perverts lead children, with candy and promises that will never be fufilled.
Brandy's mother has faith = belief.
