Topic: Why doesn't 'God' follow the rules? | |
---|---|
I have heard believers come up with so many different personal fabrications for explaining away the insanity of the notion of the omni-god...
the creator of all things... he is everywhere... the alpha... the omega(which makes him part female)... All this and that... Yadda... yadda... yadda... so on and so forth... Why doesn't the Christian 'God' follow 'his' own rules? The worst parents are the 'do as I say not as I do' ones. |

care to elaborate? you arn't giving us much to argue with. just saying he doesn't follow his own rules does nothing. tell us how he is doing that.

My issue is more sureal and yet still it hits the proper mark. I am said to have been born with a sinful mind, one incapable of loving and accepting a "all-loving" god, save for "grace." So, I guess that means that I was born with with that which was broken (sinful nature) but will be cast off to eternal "suffering?" if I don't use that which is broken to accept that which is pure?
Talk about anti-logic. Drew |

Surely one does not need another to point out all of the killing... unjust punishment of innocents... Come on now... do you really need a furthered explanation? Why does 'God' have a supreme diplomatic immunity syndrome? |

And the patriots don't follow their own rules either, neither do the giants, do i have any proof of this? no, am i saying anything to back it up...nope. I just want to state something to start an argument for arguments sake with nothing more than a mystery and a vague "personal observation" i'm not going to sit and 'guess' at what you try to mean. Next time....state some facts..you can argue facts....you can't argue opinions because everyone is entitled to their own. Peace and God Bless you. |

We are human. We still have choices to make, and there is still sin in the world. I choose to believe, but just because I do, that doesn't mean I will never sin again, never do something that I know is still wrong in the eyes of my Lord. Again..I'm still human.

Isaac, oddly you are asking for facts to disprove or argue faith....that in itself is contrary to faith....so I'm wondering...what exactly is your point?

I am said to have been born with a sinful mind, one incapable of loving and accepting a "all-loving" god, save for "grace." It would be interesting to find out who provided you with that information. You are that which you believe yourself to be. We all have the ability to love, but those that find it difficult to do so, usually are filled with fear. |

Ummm, the good book provided me with that little treat. "For all fall short of the glory......."

Um..... how about the MURDER of his only begotten son... ![]() by appeasment, of course. ![]() And that is twisted...that you argue away the murder by the statement of the reborn. That is like my saying that it is OK to break your arm because in due time, it will again heal. Now, are you sure you want to argue this? |

Yup... I remember the story...
Murder is murder... |

everyone has an opinion when it comes to religion. the scarry thing is that people ( most people) are afraid to express their concerns and questions. some religion even say its a sin to ask questions but instead you should just blindly believe what we are told. yet, our christin faith tells us that we have free spirit.the ability to choose right from wrong-to choose god or the devil. that which seperates us humans from the rest of creation. if we should just believe and follow then how is that the exercising of free will?
you have touched on a topic that will never be honestly discussed, opened mindedly. |

Next time....state some facts..you can argue facts....you can't argue opinions because everyone is entitled to their own. Peace and God Bless you. my point? beleive it not my faith is fact based. Here are a few facts...There is enough evidence both in the christian and the secular world that a man named Jesus did exist. Now whether he was a profit or a good man, or if he was the Son of God that is irralevent to the fact that he did in fact exist(our time line for crying out loud). Now comes the question on if he was a prophet, but he didn't say he was a prophet he said he was the son of god so that being said if he was a prophet than he was also a liar...but why do we lie? for greed mainly(i'll elaborate if you want) but that would mean he was in it for the fame?...but his life shows the opposite....Than that means well maybe he really BELEIVED he was the son of god if that was the case than he would have to be classified as crazy...but again nothing else about his life would support this theory either...the final choice is that he REALLY is the son of god...which fits the best. That's my choice i chose to believe that. But that is what is so wonderful about being human...I have a choice and so do you. Again God Bless You |
