I'm not desperate for a mate. I'd like someone to spend time with and get to know, go out with, but, I like my privacy and alone time too. Sometimes I think about dying alone. Thats a downer. If I meet someone and its right, I'd go for it. Only for love. Otherwise, not actively seeking a mate.

If you have your own business, why do you work night shift? I would ask that whoever made the offer pay for you to fly down for a week and check it out. Be sure and let someone know the details, name, address, etc of the person you will be seeing. It's a scarey world out there. That is a huge life change, as I know you know. Be very, very careful. I think these boards are dangerous because they give spirits (good and evil) an invitation that they just might take. I don't believe in asking for trouble. My 30 yr old daughter always asked for one for Christmas, bithdays, etc. I never got her one. I did tell her, its not good to invite evil in. She did have an experience with one at a sleep over when we lived in Germany. She was 11 yrs old. Not sure what it was, but, it made her very nervous for a time. She quit asking for one. She has not bought one on her own as an adult.

you won't find your chessnuts in toys are us. They are ChesTnuts. You can find them in the grocery stores at Christmas. All the US Chestnut trees have been wiped out by a parasite. Our Chestnuts are now imported from other countries.
They are cross breeding blight resistant Chestnut trees with American Chestnut Trees. Our grandchildren may get to eat American Chestnuts from American Chestnut trees.

The fact is, very few of our leaders have been in combat during war time. John McCain has seen combat, but, it was in a supposed "police action" (Vietnam), not a war. We all know it was a war. Communists against the "free" world. (The good ole USA trying to whip a little industry on a 3rd world country). He has strikes against him which would keep me from voting for him. 1.) He is over 60 yrs old. 2.) he was a marine( we know they are do or die, and thats a pretty dangerous quality for a leader) 3.) He was a prisoner of war during Vietnam. Marines are brainwashed beyond the minds eye and a marine who has survived being a prisoner of "war" is even more likely to crack up = not stable.
I am not naming McCain as a leader. He's just one of the people trying to become a leader. That is pretty frightening!!
Watch out USA. We're in trouble. The country is and will be run by someone who has not seen/experienced the horrors against humanity that is brought about by war. That making them willing, as in the case of President Bush, to start wars and rumors of wars. Woe is/are we!!

Candy is dandy, but ... liquor is quicker, but... liquor depresses your brain. chocolate makes you feeeeel so good!!Chocolate triggers endorphins-makes you feel loved and secure with yourself. I live alone. Most of the time I would rather have dark chocolate than a man who wants to be in my space, and its (chocolate vs. men=love->sex) not nearly as messy(except in the heat of the summer time). Then chocolate melts but its finger lickin good!! Whew!!

single, but, taken, because my elderly parents are sick and we 4 siblings are taking care of them. Usually when I am home, I sleep. Sometimes I let myself come to JSH for fun, even though I should rest. There is no time in my life for a relationship with a man. No regrets. My parents are the best people I know. Married 62 yrs and all 5 (there is 1 non-participating sibling) of us were raised as if we were the only child. That is love and talented parenting. It feels good to give back. I will be one of those "old cat ladies"- alone except for my cat!! It's okay with me, now. It's easier to be single.

The last mention of Joseph, in the bible, is that Jesus' parents presented him in the temple when he was twelve years old. After that, there is no mention of Joseph. God via The Holy Spirit is the father of Jesus. The conception was achieved without Mary losing her virginity. There is no further mention of the life of Mary and Joseph together. I do not believe that The Blessed Mother ever "knew" man. Theirs is a special situation and Joseph was a faithful man. I accept that Mary and Joseph had no sexual relations due to the nature of their special situation/ Mary is the mother of God. I accept the insinuation of the Church that he died sometime after the Temple of Jerusalem presentation of Jesus at age 12.
We do not worship Mary instead of God. She is venerated as the mother of our Saviour. We do pray to her. We pray through her to her Son. She has appeared to children through the centuries and she taught them how to pray the rosary. Who better than the mother of The Lord be asked to pray for us to the Lord our God?

Yes! Dr. K used cruel and unusual ways of "assisting death" IMHO. However, Artherial Lateral Sclerosis(Lou Gerhigs Disease) is a terrible disease that I have seen first hand.(as a nurse). You are trapped in your body, wracked with pain and eventually you cannot breathe on your own and need a ventilator/respirator to breathe for you. You cannot communicate very well, tho we've(nurses) have been very inventive to the point of using blinks with the alphabet to help spell out words to let us know what these patients need. It is a horrible, horrible disease and, though I could not intentionally give a lethal overdose of pain medication to ease the suffering, I would hope someone would have the courage to end my suffering. That is one disease that if I am ever diagnosed with, I would find a way to end my life before I got in the shape that I would not be able to.
