"it will come to pass in the last days 'God says 'that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh.
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions,
your old men shall dream dreams.
Indeed, upon my servants and my handmaids
I will pour out a portion of my spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy.

"Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." Those who accepted his message were baptised and about three thousand persons were added that day.

The holy Spirit gives courage to the faithful, who when persecuted for their faith, continue to give them the boldness to continue to speak to and teach the faithful, baptising them and spreading the faith of the Holy Spirit.

The verse before that Luke 3, 22 says as Jesus was baptised .and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven "you are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."
