No.

I don't worry about my weight....I heard a wise man say a little while ago....

"Worry is praying for what you don't want.... why pray for what you dont want.?"

I care about what I feed this body...it has many more miles to travel before I am ready to shed it, so I am mindful of what I feed it.

I suspect most have forgotten what fresh food tastes like, and caught in the 'processed food trap'...and being where I am in Australia...I have an abundance of fresh local food every day...we are a small coastal isolated town, so no takeaway foods as such...umm a couple of cafes, and a bar and grill is all, and they grow tedious after 25 yearslaugh ...the positive is that we HAVE to cook for ourselves, so develop a very grassroots real desire for healthful food.

we are one of the gateways to the barrier reef, so have an abundance of fresh seafood...we have 330 growing days a year...(subtropical climate)..have beef cattle within a 50 mile radius...it's a land-rich area here, so people can grow their own food.

I guess it would be very different in a city or large town, for many.

Oh gosh Jess i went to America and everything is already ready to eat, and the servings are huuuuuge like monstous, even the drinks are almost like barrells, just huge, and the supermarkets, everything is already made you just heat it up. so so so very strange, you hardly have to make anything, even the mashed potato is already mashed, so so strange.

I know Josie...it's really quite sad, when you think about it...so far removed from the real, the organic, the natural...so disconnected from the whole process of food...energyless, unnatural, downright scary food!!!noway

and more is not better!...wtf is that with 2 litre drink cups of fizzy chemial bound cane sugar artificial crap?

I feel so sad for so many in the US...'convenience' with a shortened life additive...noway

I agree with you girls. It's very SAD here how people eat. Not only that, is now we are growing genetic corn and feeding it to everything from cows to fish! They even shoot our livestock up with hormones to make them grow faster and more meaty. Makes me sick to my stomach. ABUSE in the highest form!! And our government lets it happen <sigh>. The big problem here in America is that we have so many poor people that the fast food companies make it affordable for them...which in turn leads to a FAT society. And of course the well-to-do population are too busy to take the time to eat healthy. I know people who eat out of a box every day! They don't know the first thing about a fresh vegetable and fruit section in the grocery store. They wouldn't even know how to cook frest asparagus or how to grill salmon...and those are the easy foods laugh . Your perception of the U.S. is correct.

Winter...I would be what is classed as poor...comparitive poor...I sit on the bottom of the socio economic groups..and you are right, it is cheaper to buy a 200 gram bag of chips (crisps)...than to buy two apples...

HOWEVER, just because I don't have or make a lot of money does not mean we have to eat poorly...I grow 90% of our fresh foods, and barter for things we don't grow, I save seeds, take cuttings, propagate plants, have chooks, (chickens)...my neighbour literally dropped off a kilo of fesh mackeral fillets an hour ago that they caught, in exchange for a dozen free range organic eggs, and a couple of organic eggplants.

You don't need a lot of land to supplement your fresh food intake, I have poly boxes of tomatoes, silverbeet, herbs, lettuce, beans, and snow peas growing on my balcony, as well as garden beds...plants will grow in a bucket with a bit of time, and tlc...it's EDUCATION that is lacking...and the old saying..."feed a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime" is very true.

I'm currently working with a Community Garden group to help educate people on how to grow their own organic food and to support them in learning, in one central space, owned by the community.

I just wanted to say thank you. I am not s woman that says I can't eat that. I am a woman who has a lot to hug. I am proud of myself. You were right when you said you should not judge a book by its cover. I sometimes think that why I'm still single. I want some one who loves me for me so thank you very much.

Yes, I worry about my weight. I want to be able to look in the mirror and like what I see, from all angles, not just that certain angle that makes my face look skinny.

whoa

lol I speak ONLY for myself when I say that I work on my body for no one but myself. If a guy doesn't like how I look, he can close his eyes.

I am a Amercian Disastisfied with the trend of eating my country is on. Coffee for breakfast, Fast food for Lunch, and and all you can eat Buffet for Dinner. This is normal.

At four to six small and balanced(protein source and source of Fiber) meals a day keeps my weight down and my energy up, and I have never counted calories.

Well i never judge a person just by the looks on the outside cause too there can be health reasons or thyroid problems or maybe they just love they way they are and feel happy ,the 1 thing i do say as long as you are healthy and happy do what you like and enjoy ,and yes i went out with over weight lady's it don't bother me i had more fun with some of them we joke a lot and they not so into them selfs as when i went out with a model in the past ,the model girl use to say to me you know this guy tried to pick me up here and there and there and i say really thats nice and she get mad at me and say don't you care? i say yes i care but you say this almost everyday and i trust you , well i glad i not with her now she was so into herself , well thanks for comment flowerforyou
