Futhermore, Processed foods create inflamation and puffiness and bloating, and also tends to increase a craving for the very foods that creating the problem.
That is so true. Here has been my problem. Cravings and addictions to carbs and processed foods etc. I KNOW exactly what I should eat but I crave the things I should not eat. Recently I stumbled upon the right nutritional supplement that seems to have solved my problems inside of one week! It is not well known for some reason and may not be for everybody. Its called 5-HTP. I have been taking two per day along with B vitamins, multivitamins, etc. But I have had and tried all those vitamins before and they did nothing. Now all that has changed. I used to be either hungry, craving something, or feeling bloated from eating too much and from eating it too fast. Now I feel 'normal' which is something I have not felt in a long time. I find myself wanting fresh fruits and vegetables, salads etc. I find myself eating three times slower than I usually do. I am less and less attracted to eating beef and less food satisfies me. I have an alarm that goes off in my head that tells me I don't want another bite. Before, I would just eat until I was too full. I'm also taking an herb called "Relaxed Wanderer" that reduces cravings but I took it before I found 5-HTP and it did not help much. I have lost at least two pounds this week with very little exercise. Just eating less, and eating differently. I have no cravings for pasta, bread, etc. like I used to. Its amazing. I feel less pain, I feel more focused and there are other benefits. No, I don't own the company. LOL I sleep better at night too. About being over weight, what I don't like about it is buying clothes. I want to look nice, but I hate trying on clothes. It is hard to find really nice looking clothes in larger sizes. I want to feel good, look good and have lots of energy. That is why I'm losing weight. Now I am confident that I have found the one thing that was missing in my diet. I have tried just about everything, every diet etc. PS: 5-HTP helps your body produce serotonin. That is what I was lacking. Jeannie, you are on the right track. Keep it up. |

I don't worry about my weight at all because I can eat whatever I want without gaining any weight :D. But even if I did I wouldn't be able to stop eating the things I like cause I love food~ You are so lucky.I worry about weight all the time. I just finished doing a four day detox where I did not have any solid food and lost 5 pounds but still hate the way I look. I seriously feel like throwing up. Damn its so hard to lose weight when you age. Detoxing also throws toxins into your blood stream. Try Eating Raw green salads ( make a mixed green salad with some protein added). Or get some green barley. Greens are full of enzymes, but are also very alkaline... and therefore will help create a better acid/alkaline balance of the body...... greens will also cleanse and clear out the toxins in your body. Actually, eating raw green salads daily ,is the best way to help the body clease naturally. Also include aerobic exercise. Plus Pure air and water. But Most important of all, keeping a joyful heart. (another subject entirely). Actually the whole idea of detoxing is flushing them out of your system. I do eat lots of greens, drink water, and exercise daily, but that is not enough. As for joyful; I am certainly not joyful. |

Yes , that is true, Navygirl,
but Before toxins leave the body, toxins can overload the bloodstream if done too quickly, hence the nausea and headaches that sometimes follow. But yes, that is the whole purpose of detoxing. May you find Joy, Precious. I like your honesty. |

Yeah, I have to agree that in this case I may have done it too quickly as I have done more gradual detoxes and never had headaches or nausea. Just wanted to try something different and lesson has been learned. Thanks for saying you like my honesty as I too appreciate honesty from others. Cheers. |

i never had an issue with my weight until my EX boyfriend tells me "you've gained weight haven't you?". After he said it 10 times I realized I wasn't the one with the problem.

I keep an eye on my weight and probably need to drop some, but I can't say I worry about it. I'm not thin . . . but can't really afford new clothes anyway. I'm in good shape physically so I just don't sweat it.

Well, my dear you are one of the few that would love a woman for her inner beauty while the rest of the male population is stuck on her weight. I know it sucks but I have accepted that is the way it is and nothing is ever going to change. |

I can't help myself, but when I see a person who is in good shape, fit and trim, I hold a very high regard for them as long as they are not ego centric about it. I respect people who respect their bodies and have found a way to maintain them well.
I also realize that obesity is a serious problem in America and I think it is due to so much fast food and pre-packaged processed food in the stores. We are just eating wrong and don't know how to stop. I have tried so many diets I finally gave up on it. But just recently I discovered a way to eat that suppresses my appetite and I am losing weight with no effort at all. I am very happy about it because I am confident that I will take it off and keep it off for good. I tossed most of my 'fat' clothes in the dumpster yesterday knowing I would never need them again. By December, I will have a new body. |
