As to the OP...nup...I don't give a rat's razoo about what I weigh... I eat well, I play hard, and I get busy in it, rather than a sideline watcher...(of life).

Hmmmm Honestly, yes I dont like how I look and I definatley do not show my body, I wouldn't even have a body photo on here except I was asked to put it on. Yes obviously I am insecure, and know it, I know that people like me for who I am inside but the outside gives me more trouble. No I cannot relax and eat what I want, although I do eat what i like , just not lots of it. I have had two husbands play up on me and yes sadly that has left me short of confidence in the looks department. I dont even know who I do it for. Thanks Cheer Up, your a Fair dinkum Bloke, Love ya And i think all the girls here feel the same. Aussie chicka!...heya from the rather sodden Queenslander! Seems you guys are in for wild weather too... |

That is so true especially in those developed countries. Thin women complain about eating too much fat as if it was the devil itself. In Africa we like being fat, not excessively of course. The problem is we attract what we try to avoid, and this is a channel of insatisfaction that affects physically and emotionally

Yes i do especially before i got pregnant but then after i had my baby and saw myself again i couldn't believe i was so hard on myself. I still don't look like what i want to but i accept me now since i don't look like im lugging around a big pumpkin in my shirt anymore =)

No, I don't worry about it at all. If I feel like I'm gaining too much....like right now...I work out, eat less and just lose it. If I feel lazy, I just let myself get a little more chubby. Either way, I don't worry about it, I either do something about it, or don't.
Fat cells don't go away, they can grow and shrink. Once they get to a certain size they divide. So if you let yourself go too far, you have many more fat cells and it's harder to lose weight. |

Honestly? Ive never been on a diet in my life. I dont believe in all that crap! In fact I think its dangerous. I raised 4 girls all turned out to be completely different and each is beautiful. I was very careful not to let them develop any negative body issues. And each is healthy and well adjusted that way.

as a man i really don't worry too much about my weight but you know what i hate? when a woman asks you "does this outfit make my a s s look big?" just makes me want to say "no honey of course not....eating 7 times a day makes your a s s look big" or "no sweety your a s s does not look big IT IS BIG!!"

No, I don't worry about it but it is something I am concerned about because of health reasons. Last year I lost 30 pounds and it helped me a lot. I am at much less risk for other health issues now. I still have more to lose but I work on it slowly. Rapid weight loss can also cause health problems so I want to avoid any extremes.

I should, but I don't. If I gain a lb or 2 then I increase my exercise. Can't afford new clothes LOL.

I'll admit it, I'm one of those girls that worry about their weight. More now than ever.
I worry about my weight for a couple of reasons. In the past 2 years, I've lost 100+ lbs. I've worked very hard at losing the weight and keeping it off. I live in fear of gaining that weight back. When I was heavier, I didn't have confidence in myself. Now, I'm not saying I'm 100% confident, but I have more confidence now than I did. Another reason I worry about my weight is because it has to do with my performance. I lost the weight by competing in triathlons (life long goal). It is something I thoroughly enjoy and if I gain weight, it doesn't reflect well on my performance in my races. |

Congratulations! I deeply admire people who can compete like that - I am not one of them. |

I do, I'm sure everyone does at times. But I know that all I have to do is have a bit of self control. Once I put my mind to it it wasn't that hard. I've lost 30 lbs since October. I don't want to be a stick by any means but I'd like to feel completely comfortable with myself.
