You are so right about family and friends being precious. I love them and will never take them for granted.

Many Older women find Love.
There are a lot of attractive Older women out there.
Many younger women do not find Love and are not attractive.
Finding Love and having Looks are in several age groups.

I've given this some thought. I've known (and know) older women who just plain knock your socks off. I think it is about energy and attitude. If you think old and act old ... you are old. If you think sexy and act sexy ... you are sexy! If you think young and act young ... you are still not old!

Many women aren't as attractive as younger woman so men being very visual will not even give them a second glance. Men don't want just attractive; they want beauty; drop dead gorgeous. So, I disagree that many older women find love because fact is when it comes to men; looks count.

JUst a note from me. I find that JUst as soon as you become free you want to travel,cruise and gamble. to me that's a turn off. then you want a man with a motorbike????? I love to ride ,however at my age and a lot of you we should act our age. NO NO I do not say lay down and die. . Ladies, if you want a man to notice you go to the hair dresser. Go to the gym and take care of your self--love your self. You all seem to have this inner beauty, so fix up the outter beauty. What is wrong with travel and cruise? Sure beats sitting at home watching tv with some overweight couch potatoe. Really; go to a hair dresser to get noticed? Are we back in 1950?

first off.. how "old" should people our age act?? is there a handbook or guide that dictates HOW we should act at ANY given age?? I haven't found any... but my kids HAVE been looking for one for me!!

secondly.. I agree with navygirl.. we're IN our 50's not in THE 50's

and thirdly.. what's wrong with INNER beauty some may currently carry a few extra lbs.. but it seems (what I've noticed) that it's OK for a guy to be 15-30lbs overweight yet women are expected to be svelte and sexy forEVER??.. double standards are a real turn off!!

at this point in our lives.. isn't being healthy, having fun and companionship more important than how sexy someone is? sometimes the 'sexy' only comes out.. once you've gotten to know the other better

I've been wondering this myself.. and finding that everyone seems to be soo wrapped up in their own comfort zones that they don't seem to want to venture out of it.. for fear of getting hurt? for fear of loss? After all.. people in our age group and older have a higher risk at debilitating illness and death.. morbid maybe.. but a realistic possibility no less!

in my case.. I have hope.. but I'm very picky about who I let into my inner-circle.. I haven't given up on my girlish dream of ONE day finally finding my Prince Charming.. however cheesy.. but in the meantime, I've not stopped living and enjoy the company of good friends, travel, adventure.. and figure at some point.. he'll find me!

Good point!!! I quess the only single older women who I've met have lost their openness. I'll keep trying, and remain open.

Ya know? I've been thinking about it...this "idea" that men have about women...'Healthy, fit, inner beauty, outer beauty, sexy....."" WTH....men all want sexy women no matter how "sexy, or not" that man is ....if they want you...you have to be sexy..I'm 65 yrs old...I have learned to HATE the word 'sexy'. BUT women HAVE to be sexy...

Women are NATURALLY sexy...they don't have to prove a damn thing to anyone..they don't have to go the the hairdresser, spa or gym, just to please a man..by the time they hit 50...they have earned the right to have a few extra pounds, some grey hair and sagging breasts..Childbirth, marriages, jobs, life and MEN have taken their toll on most women at this age. That is NOT to say they can't be sexy, or try to please a man..IF that man pleases them also...but to be treated like cattle on an auction block is not cool. ..give the women their due...they probably have weathered the storm of life just as well or maybe even better than some men.

They should be treated like the most valuable things on Earth!
