I remember when the Left Behind Book series came out. I read the entire thing and really liked it, but now Ive come to realize that it mocked and made the Rapture look cheap and stupid Like some kind of bad sci-fi story

I can't explain how I came to believe as I do now. It wasn't the Bible...it wasn't a noise...it wasn't anything tangable. It just was. A time...a place...a thought...a feeling...a sensation that enveloped me, my whole body felt a rush of warmth that was cool and a shiver..followed by an imagining of sorts...is what it was. It just came over me at a time of great turmoil and physical pain and emotional disturbance.
No one telling me anything...no thoughts of God or the Bible...nothing like that. What I believe...I feel. And what I feel...I believe...that followed by what came to me to be God like in nature and spirit. I can only tell you I know because of what is in me...what I think...what I know from my personal experience. If I have ever heard a voice to be Gods..it sounded a lot like my own. It was as if I was talking to myself for no reason. With reasonings coming from nowhere...but there. Answers...questions...promises...from nowhere...but there. If I choose to believe it is of God...and say I know it is of God...then it is to me. Thing is...I don't feel as if I have a choice....it feels right...When I succumed to the idea and emotional and heartfelt truth of what was happening to me...I changed all for the better. Not blinking an eye as to why. Not questioning how...just knowing it wasn't my idea. A spiritual awakening that had a name on it. I hear things but, without sound. I know...it sounds odd. I can't say I have talked to God or that God has talked to me...but........In prayer I have been moved. Things have happened. Now...my life may not be as stable as it once was...but my values and well being is much more than any I have ever had before. Kindness and caring and honesty and love are much easier for me now. My hardness ceased to exist. Selfishness is no more. I can tell you that there have been changes to many in my life. They see me different...know me different...when I spend a lot of time with them...I see a change in them. They become different. I have seen their actions change...the words...their hearts, all changed. I can no more tell anyone how to believe or how to think than I can walk on the moon. But, I can show by my actions and life...and maybe have something someone else may wish they had. An undying faith that leads me to believe that God does indeed exist. These are mine..I am sharing...not directed at anyone. I believe that the time will come to any who wish...will understand what I am saying. Kat |

You are joking right.....you are going to try to tell me this....one who believes that aliens are going to beam her up....pleaseeeee Oh I give up I know you jest about the aliens beaming me up. I don't believe any such thing. And I never said any such thing. I don't like aliens. I don't want anything to do with them. They by god better not try to beam me up, I will shoot them with my ray gun!!!! I also know that the Jewish people have hired a rancher in Texas to raise red cows for them in an effort to find the flawless red calf they are supposed to use in some final sacrifice before some supposed prophecy. This is a fact. This is not trying to self fulfill a prophecy? Pleeeeeeze don't be so naive. JB Please don't think you know......and I am sorry but the alien thing for you comes up far to much.....so now what am I supposed to believe....from people who don't even know "what they believe" I will make this very clear. I believe that aliens exist and I know people who have seen them, been abducted by them, and I have seen mutilated cattle attributed to them. So yes, I have collected a huge amount of evidence that they do indeed exist, and trust me they are not friendly... most of them anyway. And if you choose to laugh at that go right ahead and laugh and make fun if it makes your day. But I have never told you or anyone that I expect them to "beam me up" so save your ridicule for someone who cares. LOL Even the Pope has said that it is okay to believe in aliens, so I guess I'm with the in crowd now. Besides, you keep saying that Jesus is coming in a cloud from the sky and guess what? He will be perceived as an alien. He probably is an alien. So you believe in aliens too I guess. JB No the beam me up was me....And the verdict is out whether I believe in aliens or not....My dad worked for Nasa and was involved in area 51....I asked him once but he said sweetie if I told ya I would have to kill ya....I would have to say gearing toward not....only because if they were and they were of a higher intelligence then us that they would make them self a whole lot more known and seen...... |

Morningsong said to tribo; Tribo ...you need to get born again so you can rightly divide the Word of God.
You're Way off in left field, my friend. When a cult of "born again" Christians say things like this, it is like a cult of magic mushroom druggies saying to a person: ******************************************** "...you really need to take some of this mushroom, then you can rightly see god and then you will understand. Until then, you will never understand and you will be lost and way off in left field, my friend. " But one day you WILL be ready to believe and recieve...and be ready to accept trust and accept this magic mushroom as your salvation, and THEN you will see God and will join us as one! Please!! Accept the mushroom and see the truth of all things! Until you do, you will not know the glory of God! *************************************************** That is how you sound to us. So please realize that we don't want your "high," because its altered state is not what we consider reality. It is delusional as far as we are concerned. ~JB *************************************************** Actually Jeannie - most of us in the "Born again Christian Cult" as you say, really don't care if you chose not to take the magic mushroom. We leave you to your choices, but we would much prefer that you not make claims and speak with a presumed authority about having "taken" the mushroom while claiming you haven't, and have no desire to. We question why it is you think you know more about Christianity than those of us who live it and study it? What is it exactly that qualifies you to know more about Christianity than those who profess to be Christians? I think if you realized what Morningsong was saying to Tribo, you'd come up with a post that related to it. |

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,[a]' and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains. only deception that seems to be going on is Jesus not giving an exact date for the end of days ..the events Jesus predicted to take place will normally occur through-out normal existence ..it is called the happenstance of "Life" or better know as sh_t happens |

I think if you realized what Morningsong was saying to Tribo, you'd come up with a post that related to it. We question why it is you think you know more about Christianity than those of us who live it and study it? I don't claim to know more about it. I have looked at it, rejected it and I have concluded that it is faulty. Why then would I waste my time in the study of it? I realize that "most Christians don't care" one way or another and I rather like that attitude. But some, like Morningsong, still live with the belief that everyone should or will see things as she does. This is her belief. I don't fault her for that, but she continues to insist that no one has the brains to be able to "understand" or decipher or interpret the Bible except a "born again believer." That is an insult to intelligent reasonable people. She is saying that you have to believe first before you can understand. That is totally placing your faith not in god, but in a church doctrine or in someone else telling you this is truth. Intelligent thinking reasonable people don't do things like that. You could be selling your soul to the devil in blind faith for all you know. After all, he has been said to be, by your own faith, the greatest liar of them all. You don't jump off a cliff first and then look down to see if there is any water below or if there are only rocks just on someone's word or on faith. You don't join a secret society and take an oath before you know what the club is all about. You don't make a promise before you know what it is. That is the sort of thing she is saying you must do. What is it exactly that qualifies you to know more about Christianity than those who profess to be Christians? I in no way want to engage in a discussion about the nature or doctrine of the religion "Christianity." When I ask a question about something or about the meaning of some scripture and I am told that the only way I will be able to understand it is to become a "born again believer" then I know that is not an answer and that is not an option for me. That is like asking a person to marry someone sight unseen, without every having met or getting to know them. It is like saying, "The only way to know him is to make the commitment and marry him, first, then you will understand." Bull crap. If you can't answer the question the way you understand it, then just say so. Don't dangle your hook with the "born-again" worm out there and tell me I have to bite that to have an answer. Does that make any sense to you? If not, then I just won't ask any more questions. JB |

I would not think that the only way for you to understand it is to become "a christian" I think if anything I would dig the holy spirit to visit JB for hmmmmm lets say a week.......and then when this happens pick up a bible and see if it is any different........ok yea a lil weird...but it would be cool. |

But you and others seem to think only Christians can experience the holy spirit. That's a little selfish if you ask me. JB |

I believe I do understand the scripture just as much as anyone else does. Yet there is probably not two people who interpret it the same all the time. The message is a personal one and probably should not even be argued or discussed between two people.

I am still trying to find a holy spirit. Don't see him, don't feel him, don't hear him!
I read some of the Bible and prayed, a bit of the Quran and kneeled down chanting, a little of the Torah in Yiddish(yes I can read yiddish - very similiar to German by the way)and had beeds for it, and even tried Buddhism meditation: Nam myo ho reng ge kyo. No spirit, no ghost, no nothing! What the heck! Okay can try Hinduism and Native Indian Spirituality! and no this is not a joke post. I am serious here! Then again do I really need to know a holy spirit?? I mean could one live without knowing and still be happy. It seems to be working for me so far, although I am always curious how others know they feel the faith or know of a spirit?? |

That is when it happened to me. It was a light that appeared in the room. Seriously I was not seeking enlightenment, I was just focused on breathing and my physical health, meditation and breathing. After that day my life did change dramatically overnight. JB |

They always say I am not serious, but I am. I sit and contemplate on this and try my best to do what is told in each religous book, but nothing happens!! So now I am just adapted to the natures of attractions by the documentary 'The Secret'. I know you are familiar with this. The only problem is that it is about positive thinking and how to stay positive. I do that very well, but it doesn't give me the chance to experience anything unusual like 90% of this world does with all te different belief systems they practice. Okay today I will try your method. Sit and breathe hard, but perhaps that is just another way of getting dizzy if you breathe hard and the reason why one sees little fizzly things in front of your eyes. I am sure you know what I am talking about right. |

Don't force it, don't "expect" something to happen. It is probably not going to work the first few times you do it. Focus takes practice. You cannot force yourself to relax. LOL I think you are trying too hard. Stop trying. Just practice the slow relaxed breathing. Do it every day. JB |

I was painting a picture at the mall and someone came up behind me and commented on how good I was. He said he wished he could paint as good as me. I asked him if he had ever tried it. He said yes. He had tried it and he was no good at it so he gave up. I asked him how long did he try it and he said ... Once. LOL I had been painting for 30 years. You don't get good at something by trying it once. Silly boy. JB |
