Smiless, thanks for sharing your story. Quite interesting.

You can heal your mind and your body and have the woman you are attracted to without being a burden or having guilty feelings later on. Trust me it can be done!

I totally believe this. There are other things going on in my life that have brought me to where I am at today. Not the least of which is poor living conditions due to harsh weather. For example, I haven’t had running water now for about two months. But that’s about to change here with the spring thaw. In fact, a big part of what I’ve been doing lately is just waiting for the spring thaw to arrive. It’s basically here now. Still a little touch and go yet, (it freezing outside again today) but I won’t have too much more of that before spring finally arrives and then I’ll have all summer to get my act together. bigsmile

I guess I’m just looking at life from the portal of where I’m currently at. I’m really not in a position to be dating right now to be perfectly honest about it. Yet when you’re down and out is when you most need the inspiration of a partner. People often talk about sticking together in good times and bad. But the irony is that few people are willing to start a relationship on the low note.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your story.

Just have a sec to post here........

HAD Been Eating a diet that consisted mainly of raw foods(fruits and vegetables) for over 20 years..and that, along with meditating on God Word, actually saved my life .

A diet of mostly raw foods over a period of time, will not only give you more enery, but will actually make you appear HALF your age, also.

Add to this, also.....
aeorbic type exercise daily ....
fresh air.....
a peaceful thoughtlife.....
PLUS time spent alone with God.

You know....
I actually left my healthy lifestyle for awhile there, and started eating junk food, about a year ago...lots of pizza, cheeseburgers and stuff......laugh ....and I could actually feel a setback in my health...so I have just very recently , gone back to mainly raw foods again..and my health and energy is returning once again, also.
THANK GOD.

BUT, I mostly attribute the turn around in my life again, to Prayer....PLUS God GIVING me the SENSE to do MY PART ALSO...and that is RETURNING BACK to and Eating and Living a Healthy lifestyle, once again.

Have a Blessed Day, Everyone...flowerforyou

I am also a big fan of Kevin Trudeau even if most people think he is a snake oil salesman. Many believe he lies alot also. I find him brilliant. Everyone to their own right! Lol

I have done some checking on Kevin Trudeau via the Internet and into his background. He is first and foremost a salesman. His book has been reviewed and it did not rate as well as other books that actually included natural cures for things.

I don't disagree with what he says about the FDA, I just think his book is not as informative as he touts it is. He has peddled other things too. He is a salesman. He could probably sell anything.

Personally, I think he is too over the top and so I don't trust him or buy any of his products.

Dear Abra,

YOU SAY: I’m really not in a position to be dating right now to be perfectly honest about it. Yet when you’re down and out is when you most need the inspiration of a partner. People often talk about sticking together in good times and bad. But the irony is that few people are willing to start a relationship on the low note

REPLY: It is (in my opinion) all a mind set. If you feel you are not in the position then you will not be in the position. If you change your mind frame and believe you are in the position to date and to include someone in your life then you will have someone in your life.

Remember the great documentary "The Secret" and try to apply to it. Of course I am not forcing you to do anything and don't think I am. I just want you to see that your mind is the strongest element of your body.

You can actually feel better if you put your mind to it. It may sound a bit unrealistic at first, but try to change your mind frame and you will see that you can achieve everything.

I suppose as you being a scientist and former teacher that so much wisdom can bring a person down at times. As far as I known scientists and professors they love to research on a continous bases all the time and that is good if you can take the pain of history! I am by far no scientist or anykind of teacher. Why I can't even watch news for a whole week straight without getting annoyed at it. lol

Was it not Benjamin Franklin who said, 'The more you know the more depressed you get?' I forgot exactly how the quote goes, but he did mention in this way.

Try to release and just enjoy what life has to give you!

Dear Jeanie,

I have all four of his books and they are great. Of course the FDA will do anything to make him look bad on the internet because he is actually threatening their profits.

He is a great salesman indeed and probably to great to make him look like a snakes oil salesman. lol. He did travel alot around the world talking to many many other people about natural remedies. Of course some of it sounds absurd what I say and I agree, but what he is trying to get at is that your mind can also heal and that natural remedies have existed way before the FDA has.

This may sound absurd, yet when I think about it and visited Tibet for 3 weeks a long time back, I had the opportunity to talk to a monk who actually said your mind can achieve many impossible things like healing your body. Of course many will say that is not possible, yet on that day I also watched how they train their minds on a regular bases with intensive meditation technics they use. I must say it is remarkable and achievable if one studies and performs a lifetime in such a way.

For example: The FDA says that one who is not able to sleep (insomnia) is suffereing a disease and can only be cured with medication. They like to label everything one gets as a disease so they can create a medication for it. There are so many commercials showing a comfortable cozy house with cozy bed and a woman sleeping and a butterfly flying by showing she is cured because she takes medication and is able to sleep again.
The same goes with depression, etc.

I have also many other books on natural remedies by other authors, but Kevin is not bad if you read his books. Alot of his stuff is actually useful inside. I think he really puts pressure on the FDA and has helped bring aware to 50 million subscribers a chance to dig a deeper understanding how corporations work and how to be more aware of ones health. If anything it is a great read to see a different perspective of how the FDA works.

I as a German never had to worry(until I came here a few years ago) about hormones, antiobiotics, synthesizers, pesticides, herbicides, preseratives or additives create by laboratory experiments, irradiation, droughted soil, soil erosion, groundwater pollution, and whatever other chemicals to make us more hungry, tired, or fat. It is verboten by the government to have such foods imported into their lands! So I just went everyday to my local farmers market or grocery store and new that they grow organic food. Europe is one of the biggest distributors on organic food by the way also.

Those who do good usually always get bashed down by some group. Look at Al Gore and how many talk negative about him on the website. It goes at no end! Yet he somehow manages to bring the message through and the world responds to his urgency to slow global warming. Many don't believe in global warming over here in the states! The government doesn't sign the kyoto treaty maybe because they don't believe and it would hurt the economy if so. How far can arrogance ride in this country? Will it take a tumble for the better in order to understand the significants of living healthier?

Today I have to pay almost double at a organic market to feed my family. I would say the FDA is doing a great job in trying to shut down organic farmers over here!

I am sure you are well informed about the FDA and don't need to buy a Kevin Trudeau book to see what is happening, yet his books have contributed some wisdom onto my plate in understanding how this government works.

Smiles,

Thanks for the insight into Kevin T. I guess he could be promoting something less useful... like some drug. But if he is sticking it to the FDA more power to him.

The FDA is all about selling new drugs. I am with you on the natural cures. I don't take any drugs at all of any kind. Well, maybe over the counter once in a while, for a headache, but that's about it.

I am real excited now because I just got my new dating web site up. It is a site with dating tips for men. I am experimenting with some google adwords campaigns.
The new site is www.love-pot.com

Happy easter everybody. We are having honey baked ham and sweet potatoes today, with steamed squash.

Keep in mind that a man who is good in bed has little problem getting and keeping any woman he wants and is never desperate. He can pick and choose the women he wants. Women will fight for his attentions.

Men spend their entire lives in school and some go to college to study for their chosen profession, spending a lot of money and time in an effort to make a life for themselves. How much time do they take to learn what will attract a woman and keep her satisfied?

Hmmm?

I thought relationships were supposed to be about love, not sex.

No wonder I never married. ohwell

When one gets older and more mature, one thinks more about love and comfort. But the younger folks, well quite frankly, most of them need to learn how to talk to women and visa versa, and they also need to improve their social skills, and sexual attraction skills. Most men are clueless. Women too. Why do you think so many nice looking men and women are on this site claiming to be lonely? There is no need to be.

Most of the sex appeal is in the mind, and in the instinctual programing of the human animal.

The problem with both men and women is this: They want to "be themselves" but they don't know who they are. They say "take me as I am" but they can't even describe themselves in their profile.

Clueless.

Instead of working on themselves, they criticize others and nitpick. There is a way of attracting the mate you want, but you need to match that attraction and live up to the same standards you have in your potential mate. Sell yourself better, improve yourself. There is always room for improvement.

Take me as I am does not always work if you see yourself as a jerk or a slob and you work hard to maintain that image. I think both men and women need to learn social and dating skills.

Depends on what kind of relationship you are talking about, and whether or not you like sex.

Hopefully, you can have both in a relationship between a man and a woman.

I don't think there are many men who are eager to be married and remain without sex in the relationship, unless they are just looking for a woman to cook, clean, share expenses with and nurture him.

You are doing good if you can achieve both sex and love, and know how to keep it interesting even after many years of marriage. But there are ways to achieve this. (The majority don't achieve this.)

Anyway there is nothing wrong with hot steamy sex is there?

Something to laugh about to keep this thread going.

A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always is to shake hands. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside.
The Pastor said to him,
"You need to join the Army of the Lord!"
My friend replied,
"I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor."
Pastor questioned,
"How come I don't see you except at Christmas and Easter?"
He whispered back,
"I'm in the secret service.

Wow, without a computer for ten days? How did you survive? I don't know what I would do for ten days ... no computer. Well I guess I could read a book. Or go explore the strange new world they call reality. mmmm. That might be interesting.

I shudder to think about it. ohwell
