I think I know what you are talking about here. I don't know how to modulate between keys property. So I use abrupt techniques of either stopping and restarting, or just diving directly into another key with an instantaneous modulation crash.

It works, but it tends to make things choppy. I’m fully aware of this problem with modulation and I need help with it. I’ve actually been searching for modulation lessons on the web or preferably DVD lessons.

Learning smooth modulation techniques would really set me free. I have good ideas of what I want to do, but I don’t know how to implement the modulation. I should seek out a local music teacher just to teach me that one skill at least. It would really make a big difference in what I could do then.

Abra......don't worry about the flow breaks right now..that is all part of the final polishing up in the end...not now.

Just keep composing as you are already doing...you are doing great!!

FORGET about modulations and rules and regulations for right now...focus only on what is flowing from the depth of your spirit....nothing esle...as you are already doing.

Again, the polishing comes later on....worry about that later....when the work is completed.

Focusing on Rules rigth now will kill creativity...just continue to be free in your composition of great music flowing here

That one looks pretty good, but it’s a bit steep at $97 for only 2 DVDs and a CD.


I was looking at the one below. It's $199. But it has 14 DVDs and seems to be a complete piano course. The problem is that they don’t really mention modulation at all, and that’s really what I need the most.

I’d go for this big course if I though it covered modulation.
