How can you make such a judgement and call yourself Christian? Not saying you or you aren't.

Is it a Christian to believe Jesus is the only begotten son of God? Jahovas don't, at least some of them don't. Not sure if it's a Jahova belief in general or if they have different sects and different beliefs amongst them. But Jahovas don't even believe Jesus to be the only begotten son of God, they see him as a prophet. They don't even celebrate Christmas, as they do not see Jesus as the promised messiah in the old testament.

Everything I say in these forums are backed by scriptures, and scriptures not taken out of context I may add. I usually include them in the post I make. I don't follow "Christianity" I follow what Jesus tells us. I don't follow a "religion", again I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ my lord and saviour.

I NEVER denied they weren't one God. They are one "god". They all three have the same will, they all three work as one, they all three are one, yet separate "persons" as shown in many scriptures such as God the father saying "This is my son in whom I'm well pleased". "God" in itself is not an entity, it is a title showing to be the one in control. That is why it said "know ye not that ye are gods". We are gods, we are the top of the food chain, we are the ones that run this world in comparison to other creations of God.

Jesus is our God, he is the one that leads us. He has authority over us.

That is why Jesus referred to his father as "god". Because God the father had authority over Jesus and that is why Jesus did the will of God the father.

Notice verses like John 1:1 The Word was WITH God, again showing two separate persons. He was with God, yet was God. It wouldn't have said "with" God if there wasn't two separate persons, for if there wasn't, there would be nothing to be "with".

You make a lot of false judgements. Jesus is not a demi-god. A demi-god is half God half mortal. We are not mortal beings, we are immortal. Mortality is placed on us as punishment. God has allowed death to come into the world because of our fall from grace in the garden of Eden. Jesus offers forgiveness for this. Once one has received forgiveness for this and any other sins/transgressions they have done, they are then immortal once again. No, we can no achieve immortality on our own, that only comes from Jesus Christ our God.

Notice in verses as below, it says the lord THY God, the lord YOUR god. That is because Jesus has authority over us, making him our God. And again, while Jesus was on the cross he cried out "God" to his father, he did this because the father has authority over Jesus and Jesus does the will of the father.

Zephaniah 3:17

17The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

But you don't spread the word of God. Even if the Bible were the word of God, you aren't spreading it in a way that is productive to anyone, including yourself.

I've listened to your explanations, and although I confess to still retain unresolvable issues with many of these biblical stories, I do indeed see where your picture of Jesus and God is totally righteous, loving, and indeed justifiable.

The picture that Cowboy presents is actually far easier to "shoot down".

He makes it all too easy. He's been a blessing in disguise for someone like me who enjoys pointing out the absurdities in the Hebrew picture of God. To accept Cowboy's picture of Christianity a person would indeed need to view God as being a totally heartless cold-blooded entity who couldn't care less whether any particular human soul is saved or not. And that does not inspire a faith-based desire in anyone. On the contrary the only people who would believe in Cowboyianity would be people who were convinced that they have no other choice.

Your view, MorningSong, of a truly divine and loving creator who has infinitely greater wisdom than Cowboy, is without a doubt, a far more righteous picture of a creator who lovingly offer grace to those that he sees fit draw in.

lol, we're saying the same thing two different ways. Jesus is offering eternal life, Jesus is the path to eternal life, God the father. Without Jesus there would be not path to God the father. If there is no path to God the father, how is one to get to the father for this gift of eternal life?
