You really need to put a period at the end of this chapter of your life. Find a friend or partner that conforms to your schedule and that you find compatible. If not at work, then an outside activity. Anything.....but if I remember from a previous post, this person is promised to someone else and is happy to be that way. You are never going to move on and be happy unless you rip that band-aid off, and quick.

I have found that the older (I prefer the term "more mature") I get, the better I do in school. I am actually glad that I waited to finish my M.S. since I don't think I would have given it the importance in my life that it deserved. Eduction transfers directly to career, prosperity, and security. A younger me would have had trouble seeing past the inconvenience.

I suppose I could be ok with 200-250K but to actually be happy, I think I would need about 500K. That would pay off everything, and leave enough in savings or money market to be able to live alright off the interest. It's really hard to say because 200K isn't going to be worth 200K 20 years from now.

I don't hate hunting, I just prefer not to. Somewhere along the line, I developed empathy for animals and hate to see them hurt or killed. Don't get me wrong, if I'm not the one doing the killing I will eat all the wild game I can. Plus my empathy is only in effect for large animals. I will shoot the crap outta some ducks, pheasant, or grouse. Shot one deer in life.....looked at it and thought about it's family. I haven't been able to since then.

It used to be about family and now it's about things. I always looked forward to Christmas because it was the only time everyone was all together in the same place. That just doesn't happen anymore, at least not with my family. We've gone from a family to a group of individual families.

I don't know if I would classify myself as "edgy" or not. For the most part, it seems to be a trendy buzz word that will probably end up going the way of words like "hip" and "groovy". After enough time goes by, it ends up being more of an embarrassment than anything. U Dig? :)
