There is nothing in your profile that screams -> Hook up Here <-. It's just a sport played by some guys. You could put up a picture of a tire swing and that would get some guys horny. Know who your talking to. Kick the tires...dig a little. If something turns up that points to a hook up in the making, back off.

I've met quite a few people off the internet and all of them were different. Mostly it depended on geography and timing as to when we met. I can get an initial feeling when I start talking to someone via chat or phone, but to really know who they are I think that you have to meet. For me, I like to go out and do things in social situations.....dinner, bowling,(not movies because you can't tell much from someone by sitting quietly in the dark with them), that kind of thing. Short answer for me is: if I am interested in a person and want to find out more, I meet with them as soon as they are comfortable and able to do so. Advancing the relationship before meeting is just a bad idea and why wait? If it goes well, you move forward. If not, you move on. A lot of people try to be scientific about meeting and tend to over think things IMO. I mostly run off of feeling, not statistics.

In order to be as helpful as possible, you have two courses of action here at mingle2....

1). Start a thread with a question that you need help on or advice that you would like to receive about a particular problem.

2). Search among the thousands of all ready established thread topics here in search of one that closely resembles your problem.

Welcome to the family. None of us are brilliant, but we all pretend to be at one point or another.....

Personally, I could care less if the girl I dated had a car or not. Nine times out ten, I would be picking her up to go where ever anyway. With the money saved by not having a car, you could probably make up for it with the quality of the dates, so it could be beneficial. Also, being environmentally conscious is a popular thing now, so that may score you some points with tree hugging ladies. (women who like wood)

Be sure to ask on the first date if your gal minds sitting on the handlebars. It could get awkward if you spring this on her and she is in her best skirt....

If you have been polite and he still doesn't get the hint, it's time to take off the kid gloves and be blunt. After that, block or ignore until he gives up. There is no rule saying that you have to sacrifice your enjoyment of the site because someone wants to be stupid. Chances are, he did it to someone else until they block him and now he moved onto you. He'll either get the picture and grow up, or he'll move to a different site. Either way....win win

Very important!!

At boot camp, when the drills yell, "Hey Private!" DO NOT REACT....they are not talking to you. The first one to react essentially volunteers for push-ups. If they are standing right in front of you and looking at you, that's different. But if you're in a formation or crowd (sometimes referred to as a "clusterf*ck") they are just looking for the first private to stick their head out of the hole.

Unless you like push-ups (I do)....then by all means draw attention to yourself.

I think it would depend on the maturity and responsibility of the kid we're talking about. I know plenty of "adults" that I wouldn't trust with potato peeler, let alone a gun. I don't think there is a qualifying age that makes it OK to give a kid a gun unless you just want to make sure he/she is tried as an adult when they do something stupid.

Depends....Let me ask you this..

Would an average rowboat be able to sustain the weight of this person without capsizing?

I know, I know....I got that from "The Office" but I think it's hilarious.....

Don't know where I heard it....

I see the moon and the moon sees me.
Moon sees somebody I wanna see.
God bless the moon and God bless me.
God bless somebody I wanna see.

I once went an entire 2 week field problem in the Army with that rhyme going through my head. It almost drove me freakin' insane....

Why they have 10 billion bottles, creams, lotions, and ointments for their face.... but their #1 concern is the size of their ass....

If I only had one day, I would probably like to spend it somewhere warm and sunny, laying in a hammock with a bucket of iced coronas w/ lime. Looking at the sky and preferably the waves and ocean would be a good way to drift away.

If I had more time than that, I would probably burn through my savings traveling and seeing everything I could.

I'm the youngest of 6 brothers and sisters. I have to say that my parents did an exceptional job raising us. So many times I hear other people talking about their families and there is always one brother or sister that is looked down on or considered the "black sheep" of the family. I am amazed when I hear this because my family is so close and everyone really loves everyone else. Even the in-laws are really considered family and I've never heard someone bad mouthing or disliking someone. I really have a great family and wouldn't trade any of them for the world.
