Take the "d" off of devil and you have evil! The ancient indian tribe's descibed God as the great or good spirit, they described satan as the evil or sometimes dark spirit, the key here is they described both as spirit's! I think we should try to view things not of human flesh as what they might be instead of placing parameters around them for the sake of story telling! Oh well, just a thought!

He actually spent several years traveling aroun the middle east studying different theologies before starting to seek out his disciples at about the age of 16. These are facts that are not readily recognized in what we call the "Bible" but rather in some of the recently discovered scrolls and writings from his time! In case you didn't pick up on something earlier in one of these threads, when the men of the Bile wrote the letters, poems, paslms/songs, proverbs/words of wisdom, They had no idea that hundreds of years later man would base a world wide club (christianity) on what they wrote. It was the few leaders of of religion/state who decided what the bible would consist of. One of the ways we are created in Gods image is the ability to come up with new ideas. In my life I try to create ideas that are good for getting people to care about and love each other. I'm sure I am not always succesful, but faith with out works avails nothing!
I completely agree with our creating unity. I do think it is important that more people know about the commonalities in belief we have. I am going to post something that I found on the subject.
you are such a breath of fresh air, I can surely appriciate your other thread having read it before. I will read it again later but righ now am on a time scheduale, I wish all who profess Christianity would open their minds to reading and understanding instead of just reading and judgeing!

“The movement of time, according to the Bible, is from eternity, since it is created by God and moves out of and in terms of His eternal decree. . . . Because time is predestined, and because its beginning and end are already established, time does not de- velop in evolutionary fashion from past to present to future. In- stead, it unfolds from future to present to past. A simple illustration might help us understand this. Let us say someone finds you packing a sack lunch on a warm Saturday morning, and asks the reason for it. You answer, “Because I’m going to have a picnic at the park today.” What has happened? In a sense, the future– the planned picnic – has determined the past. Because you wanted a picnic at the park, you then planned a lunch. Logically, the picnic preceded, and caused, the making of the lunch, even though it followed it chronologically.

Interesting, but I don't think things proceed in one direction as from the future to the past or from the past to the future.

From the eternal position, it events are inter connected and wind forwards and backwards (in their process) according to where a conscious thinking center places their attention and proceeds. But I think there are more directions than simply forward and backward in time. It is more like a multi-dimensional grid where at any crossing point one can enter a different time line path to a different outcome altogether. But that outcome must proceed in accordance to the path taken.

For example, hypothetically, my higher self wanted to change the direction of my future which it knew was going down a disastrous path and it had reached a point of no return on that path. So I went backwards in time (or jumped back) to a point before that point of no return where choices were still available that would change the course of my life.

Although my memory was not available, a strong instinct caused me to change my course although I was not sure why.

This way of living a life can allow a person to go back and do things differently and it can allow a person to relive their life more than once or twice and experience different outcomes that result from certain choices made or not made. But it has to be done on instinct and by listening to your higher self and not to your little ego self because you do not have access to the memory of these transformations.

The basic plot of your life is there, but there are many different ways to get there, just as there are many ways to get to New York from Colorado.

why are you hiding behind your eye ball, why not put a full face pic up so we can see you?

I think people that wear blue corduroy shirts are obviously in league with Satan.
You might be right!

Surely satan is smart enough to use something as his mark that we would not easily recognize!

I wish at this time to thank each and every one of those who have spent countless hours proving the point I stated on the OP. Go back and read from the begining, and you will find that the only good that has come from this is, that if you will learn, This thread is a fine example of humanity,,,Mathew 5:37. God bless you all, and have a great day!

MATT 5:37? hmmm - more "out of context" remarks huh? when read alone your thought on this would make sense but when read in context with the rest of what jesus states it does not hold water, this has to do with swearing, giving oaths to god or other things, not with just keeping your communication to Yea and nay - if that was the case then jesus himself sinned and the apostles and all others. Please keep things in context when using them to try and show something, thnx.
do you have any thought s of your own?

"Good" and "Evil" don't exist outside an anthropocentric frame of reference.

very true, different way of saying "I think therefore I am"

Who proved your point and when did you make one? I think Tribo and Miles have been debating this topic for quite some time and they are both highly knowledgeable of the subject matter. That is my observation.
not worth responding to!

If mr jesus the first...son of gawd, address : third stall in the innkeeper's stable was to return now...poor bugger would end up institutionalised on anti hallucinogenic meds, with very soft walls, and very long sleeved jackets!

We don't want him back! Humanity would destroy him faster than a squad of romans with hungry lions.

Poor bugger would be homeless in Central Middle East, or being detained in Guatanimo as a bloody terrorist!

Spreading peaceful propaganda wont help the war in Iraq, will it now???
This could be why he dosen't want anyone to know his true identity, yet! To give people one last chance to change their self indulgent spirit! Only those who are willing to learn/listen will!
