she was the girl with kaleidoscopic eyes
eyes she could focus into laser sharp diamonds
with the power to drive any man mad should he look into them
for she had the power to tear apart the subconsciousness
causing the very hells to spill fourth into one's mind.

a man's only recourse would be to run,
run quickly home and climb into bed
and try to dream it all away
but there is no escape
in the morning he would find that his home
had transmuted into a determinating a mental ward
with a scant staff, preoccupied with the dangerous ones
phones all broken, no way to call out or get out
his possessions, his personality, and his very life stripped away

her gift was a terrible weapon. and she was still only a child.

mmmmm wickedly delicious writing! Part #3 is best! I especially like the way it hints at complexity of inter-relations and back story that the reader must be made aware of, and that Luther doesn't necessarily have the power to snap his fingers and get what he wants.

I feel sorry for Robert. It is as if life punished him for do his best. But it was his own fault. He unknowingly betrayed himself.
