Looking back...

The Devil, also known as Luther, watches Vita after she wandered into his realm an innocent. Such a bold and other worldly creature held his attention from the moment he first saw her. As days turn into weeks turn into time, he became familiar with everything about her. From the illuminating glint in her eyes that reveals in her mind insatiable needs that will drive her to cross over before her soul is ready for the taking, to the strong willed vampiress like urchin that Luther is hard pressed to allow free reign among his minions, as he claims her spirit to possess, ordering them to watch over but not to harm or touch her. Only one of his subjects, Devian, Luther’s right hand man, rebels against his master’s orders and sets his own skills on Vita. Infatuated, he wants to know more about this mortal female that can bewitch Luther’s evil senses turning his head toward her. Vita dismisses Devian out of hand, like she’s done with so many others before him. But he is resilient and grew more and more persistent with each and every rejection he became even more skilled and determined to make her his own. Slowly he became the mirror image of his master using his charm to weaken her resistance, and over time he attracts this naïve female into his heart, where she stays and plays with him as Luther looks on from where he secrets himself, while a blinding rage of jealously consumes his every need for her. Luther’s greed now smoldering coals of desire takes him over completely as he walks through his kingdom overseeing all he possesses, except the one naive heart he has not yet gained control over. As billowing smoke surrounds him, Luther is not immune to the firestorm that licks and eats away at his body, his mind, enticing him into an uncontrollable madness, an insanity he cannot not escape, nor does he want too. For it is only in his memories and dark visions can he see past his misery and loneliness to hold her, this childlike female he yearns to cradle into his heart, making love to her naked innocence that alone touches him, revealing a long dead conscious within himself that wickedness and dominance has reaped. It was only when this lowly female who has the power and secret elixir to pour life back into him did Luther begin to think he could change his evil ways and take her as his bride, until Devian wrecks havoc on her soul...

I didn't plan this series it just started emerging from no where, but when the spirit moves I go with it. So, part 3 is actually how the series starts, prior to part 1 & 2, and if it continues from here I'll work it all in together cohesively.

mmmmm wickedly delicious writing! Part #3 is best! I especially like the way it hints at complexity of inter-relations and back story that the reader must be made aware of, and that Luther doesn't necessarily have the power to snap his fingers and get what he wants.

Hopefully it'll be on its way tomorrow, Ainjel..
