In my town, no news is good news. All tests are virus-free.

It's actually not no news. I get a couple of updates everyday where I live and everything is good now.

Idiots are burning down 5G towers in Birmingham and elsewhere because of the ridiculous idea that " they are causing/spreading coronavirus ". Hi, Seamus! Anything that should be done to stop the elimination of human life should please be done quickly. Whether 5G is spreading coronavirus or not, as long as its radiation is dangerous to the health Seamus, please let it be destroyed. 4G is ok. My idea exactly! They didn't listen to the people. Hardly anyone wanted 5G, they don't give a toss and get it up and running anyway. Getting exposed to all these waves day in day out is bad enough as it is, no need to make it worse. So let them burn the MF down, hihi. They got my support! Again, there is no scientific evidence supporting the claim that 5G is harmful to human health. Also, 5G is in no way related to the Coronavirus, which is why the 5G topic should have its own thread. DD, let's stop the argument bro. you have won. Ok? |

Personal observation since Coronavirus restrictions were put in effect locally.
I live near the center of town off a well-used street which crosses the town. The fire and police departments are a couple of blocks away. Normally, I see/hear fire trucks about 1x per week normally around dinner time. Lately, I see/hear them 2 or three times a day at all hours. There has also been more ambulances and emergency police cars than normal. I've also heard more accidents lately (sounds like a big explosion) followed by emergency responders. I figure it is because people who are not normally home are now home more and stressed out. Not thinking clearly. |

I've been doing good with social distancing. Since December, nobody has been in my house. Last night, my brother was looking for my house, had a DUI, the police asked if he could stay with me overnight. He's been through a lot of towns, so I'm nervous all over again.

Italian PM is suddenly concerned the EU will fall apart over/during this situation.
HOORAY!!! HOORAY!!! HOORAY!!! I think he's afraid for that because he is wanting to milk other EU countries for the financial chit in his. This is EXACTLY why we have to dump the EU. We are not responsible for other countries' chit. Lo and behold: The Netherlands have said not to cooperate. Is our government FINALLY waking up?!?!?! Amazing! I didn't know that was possible. Up till now the Dutch Government (=Rutten) had its (his) nose far up the EU's @$$. If people/countries give money by choice, doing the humanitarian thing, that's great. But not mandatory cos of the EU. Such great news! Let the EU fall apart, asap, and let Italy take care of their own chit. |

In the UK, NHS workers have been banned from talking about the coronavirus outbreak but although the general death rate is still 10%, for people over fifty it's 20%, while for nursing staff exposed to people it's a 40% infection rate and if you progress to needing intensive care and oxygen, the death rate is 50%. These figures come from NHS workers themselves.

This morning I read this:
Americans may need to wear masks for up to 18 months, Yale expert says http://www.accuweather.com/en/health-wellness/americans-may-need-to-wear-masks-for-up-to-18-months-yale-expert-says/716922 "I think people are going to have to wear masks until there's a vaccine. I mean that to be completely blunt," Shan, a Yale University lecturer and an immunologist by training, said in an interview with AccuWeather. "I think the next best would be through the end of the epidemic. It definitely needs to be moving past peak."
Shan cautioned that the threat from the new coronavirus does not suddenly vanish with a peak in cases. "I don't think this threat is going to go away. It's hopefully going to manageable," Shan, who is also the managing director of Pharos Global Health Advisors in Boston, said. "Especially if we are able to rapidly increase testing and really strengthen contact tracing and keep people who are infected isolated."
The cultural differences between the U.S. and some east Asia countries when it comes to mask-wearing has been a crucial component of this debate, Shan said. In some Asian countries, Shan said, not wearing a mask when you're sick is seen as rude. Or as one person summed it up to The Wall Street Journal about mask-wearing in Hong Kong, "Not wearing masks in Hong Kong is like not wearing pants."
"It still needs to come up a lot more, though, but I think the more people who adopt it, the less stigmatizing it will be," she said. "It's a big cultural thing to have to reverse here ... It's just not a norm that's done and it's a norm that needs to change in a really trying time."
"I think we're going to see here in the U.S. that states that are really slow to adopt some of these basic things are really going to pay for it in a couple weeks," Shan predicted.
"When somebody says you should wear a mask for 12-18 months, we should say, 'Wait a minute. It depends. If you’re in New York City, yeah, probably so," Myers said, adding that he thought the same might not be necessary for those in sparsely populated areas.
Part of Shan's insistence on mask-wearing for both the infected and uninfected is to further reinforce the concept of social distancing. She said she feared warmer summer months pushing more people outside and into closer proximity. Shan also pushed against the idea that masks will be more uncomfortable or difficult to wear once temperatures rise. "I can't say that it would be worse [to wear] in the summer. I think the greater threat with nicer weather is just people going outside more. I think the other thing that people need to really understand is that masks don't make you invincible. There is no 100 percent safe way to go outside, even with hand-washing, masks and social distance," she cautioned.
"We don’t want people to get an artificial sense of protection, because they’re behind a mask.”
"The virus doesn't respect state borders so those of us in states that are doing better can't be smug," Shan said. "You know there's going to be little brush fires that can come from slower states and ignite new epidemics and in our states. No one is safe."

The only 100% safe area from the virus is outside in an area where no person who has been exposed to the virus has ever been. Anyplace where others have been in the last 6-9 months is suspect. In reality, there are ways to enjoy the better weather and be outside without much risk of catching the virus. Be someplace where others have not been in recent days such as your back yard or on a lake. Do all the protective things to get there and back safely. Be suspicious of anything that someone else may have touched in the last few days. If you need to get or use something that someone else may have touched, spray it or wipe it with disinfectant. The studies I have seen indicate that the lifespan of the virus outside of an infected person varies with the material the virus is on. Some are as short as a couple hours and some are several weeks. We can enjoy life to some extent and still be safe but you have to understand what you need to do to protect yourself and others around you.

Email I got about my car insurance
Dear Fellow Member‚ We know the COVID‐19 pandemic is having a financial impact, and we're taking action to ease the burden. Every member with an auto insurance policy in effect as of March 31, 2020, will receive a 20% credit on two months of premiums in the coming weeks. All told, we're returning about $520 million. We're able to pass on those savings because your efforts to stay home during the pandemic have meant fewer drivers on the road, which means fewer accidents and claims. You will receive a credit applied to your bill. There is no need to call or take any action. Good NEWS! Email from the VA There have been reports of:
• Individuals and businesses selling fake cures for COVID-19 online and engaging in other forms of fraud • Phishing emails from entities posing as the World Health Organization or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. • Malicious websites and apps that appear to share virus-related information to gain and lock access to your devices until payment is received. • Seeking donations fraudulently for illegitimate or non-existent charitable organizations. Criminals will likely continue to use new methods to exploit COVID-19 worldwide. If you think you are a victim of a scam or attempted fraud involving COVID-19, you can report it without leaving your home through a number of platforms. Go to: • Contact the National Center for Disaster Fraud Hotline at 866-720-5721 or via email at disaster@leo.gov • Report it to the FBI at tips.fbi.gov • If it’s a cyber scam, submit your complaint through the Internet Crime Complaint Center or get more information at the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Information website. Avoid Coronavirus Scams. Here are some tips to help you keep the scammers at bay: • Hang up on robocalls. Don’t press any numbers. Scammers are using illegal robocalls to pitch everything from scam Coronavirus treatments to work-at-home schemes. The recording might say that pressing a number will let you speak to a live operator or remove you from their call list, but it might lead to more robocalls, instead. • Ignore online offers for vaccinations and home test kits. Scammers are trying to get you to buy products that aren’t proven to treat or prevent the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) — online or in stores. At this time, there also are no FDA-authorized home test kits for the Coronavirus. Visit the FDA to learn more. • Fact-check information. Scammers, and sometimes well-meaning people, share information that hasn’t been verified. Before you pass on any messages, contact trusted sources. Visit What the U.S. Government is Doing for links to federal, state and local government agencies. • Know who you’re buying from. Online sellers may claim to have in-demand products, like cleaning, household, and health and medical supplies when, in fact, they don’t. • Don’t respond to texts and emails about checks from the government. The details are still being worked out. Anyone who tells you they can get you the money now is a scammer. • Don’t click on links from sources you don’t know. They could download viruses onto your computer or device. • Watch for emails claiming to be from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or experts saying they have information about the virus. For the most up-to-date information about the Coronavirus, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). • Do your homework when it comes to donations, whether through charities or crowdfunding sites. Don’t let anyone rush you into making a donation. If someone wants donations in cash, by gift card, or by wiring money, don’t do it. Check out the U.S. Department of Treasury's COVID-19 Scams website for more information. If you receive calls, emails, or other communications claiming to be from the Treasury Department and offering COVID-19 related grants or stimulus payments in exchange for personal financial information, or an advance fee, or charge of any kind, including the purchase of gift cards, please do not respond. These are scams. Please contact the FBI at www.ic3.gov so that the scammers can be tracked and stopped. Just a reminder that this pandemic is not the only threat. Be Careful! |

CHINA’S VACCINE China claim they have made a vaccine and a very small clinical trial is underway . That said ., it is just the beginning .. the vaccine needs to be tested on large clinical trials which represents all age groups /demographIcs . They also needs to study the immune response short and long term . They cannot just unleash a vaccine which is not approved and safety /efficacy validated . http://science.sciencemag.org/content/368/6486/14 http://www.marketwatch.com/amp/story/guid/1E86A2BC-5F10-11EA-9EB1-848872F13637 Approved vaccines will likely still be a year plus away .... they can however test the vaccine experimentally . China are in a good position to fast track a vaccine . They have considerable experience with SARS and other corona viruses . The link above lists some of the other countries working on a vaccine ready or close to ready for testing . Still a waiting game At least actual science is being used to fight the coronavirus. There is already too much quackery being promoted as a cure. Lolz @too much quackery being promoted as a cure |

We all got our letter from Boris Johnson today, explaining how deep in it we are. At least no one can say that he doesn't know what it's like to have the Coronavirus. Possibly it might become the thing to do for politicians, although most are far too old to risk it .

I know theres a lot of conspiracy stuff out there, but it's really starting to make me think, you know, you get stuff on facebook and the like, here's 1
Why do the people that tell us the world is over populated, want to save us all with a vaccine? Think about that Another https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/02/01/posting-anti-vaccine-propaganda-social-media-could-become-criminal/ Then theres all this stuff about how many of died from covid 19 compared to how many more have died from regular flu and suicide. Then there's all the 5g stuff, stay indoors they say, but apparently these masts keep popping up Then there's all the economy, cashless society stuff And stuff about giving do not resuscitate orders to people who maybe say autistic or handicapped in some way It's pretty nightmarish It reminds me of the anti psychiatry movement a bit, where it's believed the remedy is worse than the ailment, thus the remedy is the ailment and thus there is no remedy |
|
|
|
5g, no scientific arguement?
Why do the masts have radiation warnings on them and tell you not to stand near them? Why are cancer rates already higher if you live near a phone mast As for all this show your medical diploma malarkey Why do they make an oath to a Greek god Why did they advertise cigarettes. Why did they invent vibrators What about the poor thalidomide children What about the NHS being threatened if they talk. What about pedophiles like Jimmy saville being able to abuse kids in hospitals, and being left alone in the morgue while managers guard the door |
