It's one of those rumours that starts whenever something like this, or Sars, Mers or Ebola breaks out. It seems unlikely to me, given the mutation rate of viruses, that anyone would deliberately spread something like this and hope to survive when it came back home.

I think the authorities there built two Hospitals from scratch in four days. I don't think that the UK could build one in four years . Of course, to me that indicates that a lot more people in Wu Han have been infected than they are claiming but the death rate still seems to be holding steady at 2% of those infected.

So far it doesn't seem to spread all that fast? Whether that is due to the virus or the fast action of countries worldwide?
It also makes me wonder why this chit always originate in China. There's other countries where people live on top of each other, think Japan.

Yes, China does seem to be prone to outbreaks of novel respiratory illness. Probably something to do with several thousand years of relatively heavy urbanisation and animal domestication. I saw a video of the infected that was picked by the security cameras in a lifter, and these Chinese coronavirus victims spat on the lifter buttons just to spread the virus. That's too wicked.

The Americans first insisted that no one died or was injured. Subsequently, the casualty figures have been increased by them. The daily mail is often inflammatory and badly checked for the actual facts.

I thought it had died down by now, but I see it is still going. We still don't have any confirmed cases in my country, even though we're surrounded by countries that have.
I am now thinking... the amount of Germans coming here is starting to increase again. I hope they don't bring it with them as Germany does have corona.
