For example, the word "trinity" is not Scriptural. Neither is "triune." These are man-made doctrines. All you have to do is read what was discussed at the 7 Ecumenical Councils to know this fact.

The way I view religion and not to offend anyone ..is that man wrote the bible..man decided what to put in it..men I did not know or will ever know..why would I believe what these men said..Now if God were to write it..how would I know..how would I truly know that it was God and not the devil in disguise ..how do I know it wasn't the devil in disguise they wrote about..too many variables that I can not know..nor will I profess to know..so I will save my judgement until that final day..and if there is a God and he asks me why I didn't believe in him..I will simply say..it wasn't that I didn't want to believe in him ..I just don't trust man enough to tell the truth..I am sure he will understand knowing man the way he does...

Some folks you can't debate with. They are going to shoot you down one way or the other. They are going to tell you that you are wrong no matter what you say. A good thread consists of more than two to four people going back and forth.

If you are on a thread and the same two to four are going back and forth, but the other 10,20,50,500 forum posters are nowhere in sight, that's usually a pretty good indication of the quality of the thread.

In other words, instead of trying to argue a point with another, to heck with it. Leave them to it. There are plenty of other threads that are more entertaining and a whole lot less aggravating. Me personally, I would rather be on other threads having fun with a bunch of other people. Instead of on one thread where one or two are always right, arguing and fussing. And my opinion gets shot down all the time.
