I see so many women who smoke, drink or have tattoos. While I can be friends, romantically for me it is a turn-off! What do you think? Well, I don't do any of those. But I don't degrade people by criticizing what they do to their own bodies. And, they can all be HUGE turn-ons, in the right circumstances. I was actually looking for ways to overcome my uptightness since there is a plethora of women who have these things. The basic thing is you'll have to start to realize that not everyone is the same. And just because a woman has a tattoo, she's not going to automatically want to get plastic surgery and be high maintenance. Once you figure out what everyone is different, maybe you'll stop making these assumptions. |

If I can throw in a spot of advice. (going to anyway so save your breath)
One of the things that kept me single was my personal ideas about what I THOUGHT I wanted. "Must be this. Must not be that. Must like this. Must dislike that." I was my own worst enemy. The hard part for people in the dating industry is seeing beyond themselves and beyond thier past and beyond what they think they desire. It is all crap and all those lists and requirments have brought everyone to the same place. Alone and searching Mingle for someone to love. Obviously, your way ain't working. (I am talking to all of you) Just consider taking a leap of faith into the great unknown. Open your mind to any possibility in the hope it will lead you to what you desire. My woman is nothing like what I used to idealize about. But, she makes me happier than I ever expected to be despite the fact that she don't even match to my old list... If someone got a tattoo you don't like...you are the one with the problem. If you don't like that he/she might imbibe in a cultural tradition that has lasted thousands of years...it ain't thier fault that you do not approve. If smoking is the problem...let's hope the next person you turn down wasn't actually the love you were destined for. Let's face an honest fact...we NEED imperfections in those we love. Cause if they are perfect....how the hell do you plan on meeting thier list of what you should be? |

I drink, but very rarely. I have a tattoo and one day I might get another. I don't smoke.
I won't ever date another smoker again. |

I see so many women who smoke, drink or have tattoos. While I can be friends, romantically for me it is a turn-off! What do you think? I think every one is different in what they like and dislike. Thats what makes us what we are. I was a smoker for a long time and I quit over 11years ago and since then I have dated some smokers. Some of them when you kissed them did taste like an ashtray, which I had a hard time with(needless to say we did not continue dating, but we are still friends). Also some of the smokers there was no problem so I guess each person is different. As to drinking, as long as it is in moderation & socially I don't think its a problem. I myself enjoy a few drinks on special occasions & with friends. People with tattoos, hey it"s their choice. It's just their way of expressing themselves. I always wanted one but I hate needles so never got one.  
So for me some one that "taste like an ashtray" is a turn off and some one that drinks all the time and is always drunk is a turn off, and a person would have to have some pretty gross tattoos to make me not want to be with them. |
