I did not read all of this thread, but I am absolutely pro choice. It isn't up to me to tell another woman what she should or should not do with her own body. It also isn't up to me to judge her for the decision she makes.

Most women don't use abortion as birth control. I did know one who did, though. By the time she was in her late 20s, she had at least a few. At least that's what she'd tell people. Though, I don't think we can assume that most are like that.

And again, birth control doesn't always work.

Sadly, it's not always cheap anymore. Some of the stuff I've looked into is 50-100.00 a month. Without insurance.

I'm pro adoption

So, are you planning on adopting any mentally disabled/learning disabled or crack addicted babies?

Cause anyone I've ever talked to wants that perfectly healthy baby to adopt. The ones who are willing and able to take on the less healthy/unhealthy babies aren't able to take them all in, and there's plenty of babies and children alive now, needing adoption. Heck, there's plenty of people going overseas looking for the "perfect babies" and leaving the ones here in America outta luck.

When all of them are adopted and taken care of, I'll grant you there needs to be a bigger push for adoption.

If nothing else, at least use condoms. Of course, they aren't going to work 100% of the time. But, if not getting pregnant is important, definitely look into birth control.

just because your allowed to have an abortion and you have the right to choose to have one doesnt make it morally right. when a baby is involved in the equasion your feeling and what you want should come last. there are hard situations like assault etc that ok its hard but killing the baby shouldnt be the course to take as i said before what did the baby do why cant they have the right to live and grow up even if your not the one that looks after them

You may think abortion is wrong, but others have the choice to do what they need to do. If it isn't morally right for you, don't do it.

Condoms, and birth control pill AND foam. All together. Didn't work. Since I'd had heart surgery 2 months before, I terminated it. So, again, it doesn't ALWAYS work, and forcing someone to carry is wrong. Period. I haven't found anyone here who will do a tubal as a permanent way to stop a pregnancy because I am a healthy 30 year old who might(not) want kids. The doctors won't agree to it.

It was 9.00 a month when I had insurance. But I don't have insurance, as my job doesn't provide. Therefore it's 50-100.00 a month. Not cheap.

I can't use the 9.00 Wal-Mart generic as it makes me rage, literally. Still haven't figured that one out, but when I have the urge to kill someone (in this case it was one of the goats, who if I could have broken his neck, I would have) with my bare hands, and that's the only medication I'm on, and there's no reason to cause that kind of rage, then I get off it, and can't use it.

You did what you needed to do and shouldn't be judged for it.

Judge actions and words, dont judge people ,,noone is perfect. This thread asks about an action though, so opinion and judgment should be expected.

its not about me thinking it right or wrong its about the fact that its murder and murder is wrong full stop. there are problems with homing children born to mothers who cant or wont look after them so more needs to be done more money invested, we have the same problems here and believe me its hard but if something is worth doing and worth having you keep on striving. you dont give up and say well we havent got space so lets just start killing.

Yep it's as simple as that. Telling a man to keep it in his pants is not a smart statement. Uh it takes two. I also feel the man DOES have a choice if he had his part in creating a baby. Around 21 days the heart starts beating, brain, legs, arms, nose, eyes and lips begin forming. Heartbeat means life - life means human being - human being means baby.

I'm not condemning those that agree with it or have done it, but I along with everyone else has my own opinion. I respect other's opinions. When it comes to partial birth abortion, I find it horrible.

As long as people continue to have abortions, there will be people against it. Tell us to mind our business and we feel we have the right to protect the unborn. We will never agree just share our opinions and fight in the courts to keep it going or ban it. Thank God partial birth abortion was banned.

I am neutral, it is the pregnant womans problem to deal with.
I remember as a child, my mom saying.. "Worry about yourself-Thats a full time job".
but most of the world is worrying about what everyone else does..When they can't even get a realistic handle on their own lives.
As long as government / tax money isn't paying for the abortion.. then we shouldn't have any say.

By the way... I had the snip years ago, and rechecked to make sure they got it right, So I don't have to worry about it personally.

So maybe here is another choice.
If she goes in to get an abortion for no good medical reason or a rape... She automatically gets her tubes tied?!

Although I respect the sentiment, I think it is much too broad to cover all situations. There are times when things are more significant than who foots the bill. how terrible would it be if we turned a blind eye to domestic violence because its not our business. At some point we have to at least CARE about others enough not to discourage people from speaking up about the mistreatment of others. Perhaps the legal ramifications can be debated around who is paying but certainly , as humans, we are not just all laws and no substance or character.
