What you fail to understand is that not all scriptures can stand on
their own. Many scriptures must be interpreted with other scriptures,
otherwise they teach what could be taken as an immoral lesson. The
lesson to not resist an evil person under any circumstance is immoral.
That isn't what Jesus was teaching, we know that because Jesus
encouraged his followers to carry swords and also because of certain
wording queues in the scripture itself.
