You are merely asked to talk about your religion in your own words. You
can't do that?

I quoted ONE scripture in this thread. Couldn't you come up with a
better attack than "You quote the bible"? The Bible is the source of
everything Christian. If you are discussing Christianity without
quoting any scripture, you probably don't know what you are talking
about.

What documentation, pretell, is your religion based upon?

All I have is my belief, that's all I need.
If you would base your posts on your beliefs and not what the bible
tells you to belief, I think you would have rather little to nothing to
say.

I believe spider would have much to say.

But his box is bound by the son. And the words of the father that are
within him are contained within those bounds.

I didn't realise you needed documentation to believe something. What
happened to faith?

last time I shared my opinion I got pounced on...and all I stated was
what I believe not what they should believe, but I love to watch you all
share your thoughts.

Great question! Christianity teaches that faith is a gift of the Holy
Spirit. Faith is granted to those who seek God. Your search for God
should start in your heart, but it should eventually lead to the Bible.

First, I would ask you to not make statements of what Christians
believe. The reason for this is that you are not a Christian and
therefore you have no place making those statements. I only make
statements about my own religion, I don't try to make statements about
others religions or lack thereof.

Second, all things Christian have one source, Jesus Christ. All things
were made by and for him, including the Bible.

The Bible was written by men. Compiled by men. Translated by men. And
read by mankind. At each step, the believer is guided by the Holy
Spirit. Without the Holy spirit, the Bible is foolishness.

Jesus is the rock on which our faith is based and he gave us a book so
that we can know him and the Father.

you use the Bible like a weapon! That is how they got the expression
Bible thumper, your trying to beat people with it. If the Bible is
really what you think it is it does not need defending .

I'm assuming that you are a Christian (from your name), but there are as
many differnt types of Christians as there are Christians (something
that the majority here really need to learn). Whatever your beliefs,

You are quite right Christ is the rock.

Cling to it and look about you, all that you see including the rock is
god for we are contained within all that is and god is all things.

The rock is but a part of him.

In my faith I must accept Christ. I am not a christian because I will
not accept the writings of the disciples. That does not mean I have not
embraced the truth of Christ.

The Bible isn't a club it's a sword. Scriptures are supposed to cut you
to the quick. When you hear the scriptures, the spirit within you hears
it also. Your spirit cuts through the lies that you protect you with
and reveals the truths that you refuse to face. The Bible is offensive
to most people, including Christians. I have seen "Christ followers"
mock Christians because they own and read Bibles.

statement about what I believe. Big difference.

You know Christ by your book.

I know Christ by my faith. He is the Annointed One of the Prophets of
God.

Once again big difference.

I don't care for anyone who refers to his/herself in the third
person..That does smack of "Bible Thumping".
