Cold in California?  I got home one night at 11:45 only to discover I lost my house key. The kicker was it was -20 and my spare key was frozen in my real estate key box and it was too dark to see the numbers to punch in the code. Might have to rethink about a better place for a spare key.
I will digress! THAT IS COLD! I had some friends stationed in a radar base in Greenland. They made a short film of what cold REALLY was. It was 34 below. They had a straight run from the kitchen and the mess hall to the outside via a hallway and doors held open by soldiers. They took a big pot of boiling water right off of the stove with special mittens on so they would not get burned. A short trip to the last set of doors outside and the two heavily bundled men tossed the water out the door to a group of men waiting outside with a special camera to withstand the cold. Boiling water turned to snow the instant it was tossed into the air. From what I know -30 is this cold, a human will freeze solid in under two minuets. Taking off your mittens or boots is INSTANT frost bite. THAT IS COLD! And to think it gets close to minus 200 F in Antarctica during some of their most hostile wind storms. I am not sure what the world record coldest day on record is. I know Antarctica holds it. |

We are an animal and are tasty to other animals! GODS DON'T BLEED WHEN YOU WOUND THEM! Likewise some relationship dynamics prosper around the concept of force being employed to spice up the relationship. It is a common theme for women in a lot of these romance novels to be "Taken." Likewise a lot of women fantasize about being carried off and romantically swept off of their feet but more often than not that romanticized notion degenerates into a rape scenario quickly in REAL LIFE. Women here in America are so damn lucky. More so than even in a lot of European Nations. Europe treats infidelity issues way differently! Americans live by this puritanical cult morality hidden in the ideals of Christianity and colored like Victorian Virtue! To say Rape is exclusively about power and control is only partial truth! Rape is a bad thing but in all reality a woman must learn to protect herself. I know women who really can defend themselves. Frankly, welcome to the equal world. Us males do not stand between you and the predators any more! So if you don't want to get ate, learn to carry a spear! Equality is a BYTCH, isn't it? It is weakness to me to complain so loudly about something when you do nothing to prevent it. One way to help prevent rape is to stop hanging out with power hungry men! If he has to dominate everything round him what makes you think he won't dominate you? Digressing once more to the instinctual components of rape! DOMINATION IS AN INSTINCT! So how would you chose to defend yourself? Call men with guns to help you? Come on smart azz! How would you protect yourself? Maybe you are a Martial Artist? Or did a couple of weekend self defense classes suddenly wake up your mastery of Kung Fu? I got it. YOU OWN A T.A.D.A.R.D.I.S.! Lucky you! Ego's and self image can be easily bruised. Liking someone and then being rejected is never easy for anyone. So, you're saying that by the time you've decided to have sex you've already invested a lot of emotions and by waiting you'll learn if he's invested emotionally too? If this is right, how does waiting for sex lessen the pain? Or are you saying that the act of having sex causes an emotional attachment in you? A lot of women equate sex to emotional attachment whether or not they want to believe it. Society has conditioned them well to not see the obvious sometimes! Why do some men say "be careful of a woman's crotch. They hide a big fishhook down there!" Ladies, you may take offense at this all you want. This was a saying in the army back in WWII all the way to Korea and the Vietnam wars! Where did I hear it? FROM OLD WAR VETS and likewise I believe there were at least two Army Training Films that had that very quote in it.
