Big deal, I had to produce my birth certificate to get a drivers license.

Do you really see that much difference in either side? Its like getting to choose which to change, the treble or the bass, when they're still picking the song. I get to choose which stick I want poked in my eye. And don't tell me that if I don't vote I don't have a right to complain, I can speak out against the crime without first aiding and abetting.

Bill Clinton obviously knew when to pull out but for some reason Hilary didn't.

Didn't John McCain go through something like that?

Signs to watch for:
1. The rats are always first to desert a sinking ship.
2. Those in the know will cash in their chips before the crash.
3. Oh well, I think all the other signs have already happened.

I hope you are right. I'm old and lived through the Viet Nam era when we were full of hope that things had been set right and would never happen again. It didn't even take one generation for that to pass, apathy and complacency can replace the lessons of history. Patriotic conservatism came back strong as ever and Nixon/McNamara had nothing on Reagan and Bush. Nixon actually was fighting against socialism (communism)taking over America.. irony of ironies? So when you expect people to take to the streets, take my advice and try not to be the first one out the door.

No doubt, but the sad part is, give the people some tax relief, lower gas prices, give them new electronic toys once in a while, and the social narcotic effect will make all things right with the world. Self-interest prevails. Happy days are here again. The way to conquer the world is to put a Wal-Mart in everytown and make them all as smug and self-indulgent as everyone else. Don't let any books into the schools that would criticize the status quo (oops too late). Rewrite history so that truth doesn't matter as long as everyone feels good about themselves. (oops too late). Oh well, you get the point. We are already under attack and they don't need the troops.

That's exactly what it is..but Hitler's version took a totally destroyed economy and turned it into one of the strongest in the world at its time. His idea to unify the people was to choose a common enemy for them to be against. The jews were his unlucky choice but basically he was going to do the same to anyone else if given time.
Start waving the flag and give the country a common enemy and see what happens.

I have a lady friend who is a counsellar at the middle school. She can not give advice for fear of a lawsuit. She can listen and hope that calms them down or she can refer them to an "expert" service approved by the government.

Neither of them won...we lost. I thought they were both true to form.

The military has always had that right. Have you heard of George Washington and the Whiskey Rebellion?

Thanks...lessons learned the hard way. Reality has a way of smacking you on the forehead and saying "DUH"

America dies when the "It takes a village" mentality takes over and individual rights fall to the "good of the community" as decided by the self-righteous.

No one seems to want to touch this topic? I live at the low end of the income scale and even raised a daughter by myself. The only way I could handle it was to live at subsistance level and give up wanting the other things. Now she is grown but I learned a lesson, that the anxiety and feelings of hopelessness come from WANT. When you no longer WANT you step outside the game. As for being president, no one would vote for someone who suggested doing the things that would actually work because they would have to give up something. No one would face up to the fact that tax money can't fix the attitudes of the kids who don't want to learn, have no work ethic, and scorn those who do. No one wants to give up being able to drive down the street whenever they feel like it in order to get us away from reliance on oil and dealing with the middle-easterner who hate us for making them just like us. No one wants to give up the power they get from telling us how to live, what we can read, watch on tv, smoke, drink, wear, teach our children, (say, didn't we fight the communists because we thought they would do that to us?). So when I see someone who wants to be president I don't see someone who wants to do anything other than play the game.

Beware of maya (the illusions of reality), although said by a lead guitarist his bass playing buddy Paul didn't do too bad for himself, although beware of one-legged women.

I know some good friends who have had weird experiences and I know they aren't lying to me about them so i guess I believe, I just never have anything myself.

I work at William Woods College in Fulton Mo and the the Fulton Paranormal Society just checked out a 120 year old auditorium we have here. I go through it every night and haven't seen or felt anything but some of the other guards have, they just say they get the creeps but haven't seen anything. I went to lock the building after the paranormal society finished and started giving myself the creeps too. But tonight its back to normal. I wish I could see something but I don't. Could it be because I don't believe in it? Maybe some night they will prove me wrong.

Bye for now I GTG but thanks and I hope I didn't offend, I just like to challenge the platitudes and stir the brothe to see what rises to the top. When you toss a statement at me I like to see where it is coming from. I actually like horseradish better.

I've seen huge fields of mustard growing in Germany. Beautiful and yellow all the way to the horizon. I've seen the effects of mustard gas.
