I guess he thinks all the folks in Michigan are not worthy of him...Its his last hope for fame, its hard to tell what hes capable of doing..

Well, at least we know he knows how to pull out. Should we consider this a "cut and run?" Is this why they call his house in Arizona, "the Retreat?"

I live in Michigan.
If this means I get to see fewer McCain ads I am happy as a clam. Did you all see this? (CNN) – John McCain said Thursday that Barack Obama’s poll numbers are rising as the economy seems to sink "because life isn’t fair.” McCain's pulled out of Michigan because his true colors are showing and the people of Michigan can see him for what he is. |

Michigan is divided down the middle north to south. The western part of the state has been solidly conservative for some time. In the last year or so we've seen some small victories by democratic candidates and the margins of victory in republican races narrow.
As you all may or may not know the recession arrived in Michigan several years ago. the unemployment rate is around 8% but that's just counting the people who are collecting benefits...those who ran out and are still looking aren't counted anymore. Most of us here in Michigan have been aware for some time what we are doing nationally isn't working. In state we have a great democratic governor who recently won reelection but a republican legislator who has engaged in a lot of foot dragging. We are ass deep in it and the message of change appeals to many who feel, as I said earlier we are on the wrong path. --------- There are a couple must win states for McCain. Looks like he is concentrating his resources in Ohio now. Interestingly Obama is campaigning in several states not won by the dems since the 60's. |

I am glad the economy is getting more attention. Remember back to my Econ 101 class where we talked about the "gun and butter economy" and that you can't have both. Bush manuvered the country into to seeing a terrorist under every rock and around every corner. Pushed the constitution aside. Ignored the needs of common folks. And the Republicans are pushing McCain's war record. This makes sense how??????
Seems like they math/logic skills need some improvement. 1 + 1 = 2 not a change. DUH! |

Bill Clinton obviously knew when to pull out but for some reason Hilary didn't.
