Hospitals will always work with you on bills. They will let you pay over time without interest. It’s just the running away and not even making an attempt that will run you into collections.

I’m actually very interested in Canada’s health care system. I’ve heard it also has its problem however. Sometimes long waits and you can’t always have the specialist you want. However, EVERYONE gets medical aid and a much greater focus is placed on preventative health care issues. Instead of let's wait till the damage is done and then start you in on chronic care management.

My son is 7 years old and weighs about 60 pounds- He is a little thingsmitten

Well...we went to the ER day before yesterday because he had a fever, vomiting and some body pain. Turned out they diagnosed him with a "cold" so no antibiotics(which is fine considering I'm not one of these parents that "NEED" antibiotics for my child when ill).
I'm a bit concerned because my boys haven't ever run a fever for more than 2 consecutive days.
This is the third day.scared

Is it normal for children to run fever this long without breaking?what

Did they check his blood sugar? You want to rule out Type 1

ok... if someone comes into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, they are going to do whatever they can to help that person... they aren't going to ask them who their provider is, or lack thereof.

Exactly. You beat me to it. Also if a pregnant woman comes into the ER or any seriously injured person, a hospital will not refuse admittance based on inability to pay.

I would agree with Funch. I am losing my patience with them. If they have a legitimate concern, then they can hit "report post". Then once the moderators realize its just them being ridiculous, they can deal with it. He is not breaking any rules in posting this thread. Besides, since when does the term "faith" only apply to Catholics or Christians? huh

The last time a Jehovah's Witness came to my house we ended up talking about pantheism for about an hour.

He found it extremely intriguing.

Before he left I gave him some old books that I had on pantheism.

I didn't even mean to try to convince him of pantheism. He simply asked me what I believed and I told him and he became quite interested.

Obviously he was still searching for answers himself.

It was a case of the "reverse-conversion."

My Favorite are Mormons.

Mormons are funny. We get those around here. They show up in those white shirts and black ties. The nice thing about Pagans is they DONT proselytize as a rule. They actually have a prohibition on it. When was the last time you were woken up at 9am Saturday morning by proselytizing Wiccans?

flowerforyou I think some western women would like to occasionally wear a burka as long as they arn't being forced to.laugh If some women in other countries weren't forced to wear them, then it wouldnt even be an issue.

Well that aspect of it sometimes confuses me. Are they always forced to wear it or only sometimes forced to wear it. Sometimes you see them wear the long cloak but they just have their hair covered but not their entire face. Other times they have the full garb and face mask. It would appear very oppressive. I have a hard time listening to the ratonalizations for it.

I understand that people need to own cells sometimes for their jobs or family. I’m just saying I personally don’t like them. I feel like we never had them before but now suddenly it’s the norm. huh

It seems to not think very highly of men. It implies that men are so out of control and easily stimulated visually that women have to cover themselves from head to foot. Geez. noway

Well it’s a bad idea for close relatives to get together and breed. I think both genetic issues and socialization would tend to advice against this but it happens. Of course people always make the jokes and there is still the existent stereotype of the creepy people living in the Ozarks that marry their first cousins and have children. Entire towns are thought to share a common heritage. This is based in reality historically but like anything else, gets overblown.

glasses Most of the time the kids are normal unless the inbreeding is substantial (several generations)and then the offspring start to develop hereditary health issues.glasses

Yeah we kind of covered all that if you scroll up. Its primarily recessive genetic disorders. You are just increasing the likelihood of the visible symptomatic form of the disease to show up in subsequent generations.

The only advantage I could see to the burka is genuinely you wouldn’t need to shower or worry about your hair or anything. Just throw on your black tarp that covers you down to the ankles.

Im fine with a woman not wearing a lot of clothing. As long as they are barefooted and strapped to the kitchen.
laugh

yeah, but whose kitchen and why would you strap a kitchen to a woman? Poor thing wouldn't be able to fry an egg.... fridges are heavy!!!!noway
Hahahaha, good observation, I am far to amateur at this woman subjugation thing, I think I need to study more.

Let me find my Bible and Koran.

Got a family member that does this? They can't be bothered to pick up the phone and call you. If you don't call them, you two probably won't talk for weeks. But if you get tired of being the only one to reach out..if you stop calling them, then they WILL call you a couple months later....only to b*tch at you for not calling.
frustrated frustrated frustrated

(venting)

Well I know I HATE talking on the phone. It hurts my ear and I just despise it in general. I’m not one of those people that can "shoot the breeze" for hours on end and I don’t possess the "gift of gab." When I call people, (even family) it’s for a succinct reason. In fact, I wouldn’t even buy a cell phone and eventually a friend bought me one of those camera ones last Christmas and she had to take it out of the box for me because I refused to look at it. laugh So some people just don’t like it.

saw on Dr. phil today.I believe the doctor should be sued. There's no reason a woman who is on welfare should get help to concieve more children. It's freain crazy and someone should pay or lose their license

Could not have stated this with any greater degree of clarity. I won’t even bother. It’s ludicrous. I hope some heads roll.

Sure. Where is the "Evolutionary Eve" with the DNA to support this claim?

It is believed to be Lucy. You can not magically pull viable DNA from skeletal remains that are thought to be 3.2 million yeas old. That would have been the transition right there. There are a number of traits in the A afarensis skeleton which strongly reflect bipedalism. In overall anatomy, the pelvis is far more human-like than ape-like. The iliac blades are short and wide. Fossils indicate bipedalism around 5 to 8 million years ago, in the same general period where genetic studies suggest the lineage of chimpanzees and humans diverged. It adds up, Eljay. You can’t make unrealistic demands like harvesting DNA from bones this ancient.

Why is it that you expect these paleontologists and researchers in this field to jump through flaming hoops when all you require is faith and you keep raising the bar each time they show a little more credible evidence. grumble

You probably need to ask your OBGYN now about this or whoever you physician is. Will your insurance cover an epidural even if you want it? It might be expensive.
