Topic: The advantages to wearing a burka... | |
---|---|
There are advantages to wearing a burka. It makes women more mysterious, hides all the flaws etc. It would make stripping for your husband all that more exciting... You could hold up a bank or convenience store and then just melt into the crowd. It would be easy to sneak around with your lover, no one would recognize you. You could be wearing a bullet proof vest and carrying an automatic weapon under there. You could hide a pregnancy for a long time. Can anyone think of any more advantages? |

You never have to look at your closet and exclaim: "I just don't know what to wear!" |

It is wrong that men force woman to wear a burka even if they deny it to be.
Fortunately, not all Muslim nations have such strict codes. Turkey is one of them. The Koran surely discriminates woman rather a believer of such a faith wants to admit it or not. It is just another mediterrenean mythology that shows how men wanted control over woman at all times. It also shows there is no trust amongst the men in these cultures. sorry for ruining the humor Jeannie. |

Yes it is wrong to force this onto women. That is a given.
Men want to keep women down because they fear them. It is the cult of the red dragon who believes that men should rule. Christianity is part of that cult. They also have worked to keep women down. But if men who force women to wear burkas knew that this is not a good idea... if they were to really think about it... because the women can be wearing a bullet proof vest and carrying an automatic weapon under their clothes, perhaps they will reconsider their silly law. Also, men can be under those robes, disguised as women, carrying weapons. Oh I can see all kinds of advantages to burkas. Especially in the overthrow of a government. |

I am sure all those things you have mentioned have been tried before. Those stories will be told when soldiers return back home from the Middle East (if not already). The time of the red dragon is coming to an end as the time of the white dragoness shall return. |

Im fine with a woman not wearing a lot of clothing. As long as they are barefooted and strapped to the kitchen.

You wouldn't have to wear undies....
or makeup, or shave your legs, or ever have a bad hair day again... you can hide 7 small children, six pizzas, 3 turkeys and a shopping trolley under there with you, |

The only advantage I could see to the burka is genuinely you wouldn’t need to shower or worry about your hair or anything. Just throw on your black tarp that covers you down to the ankles.

in the Koran, the Prophet Muhammed (blessings be upon him) was tired of his many wives being treated with little respect, so they were separated from other women by wearing burkas. Otherwise it is not a religious thing, but a cultural thing.

It seems to not think very highly of men. It implies that men are so out of control and easily stimulated visually that women have to cover themselves from head to foot. Geez.

I think some western women would like to occasionally wear a burka as long as they arn't being forced to. If some women in other countries weren't forced to wear them, then it wouldnt even be an issue.

I think some western women would like to occasionally wear a burka as long as they arn't being forced to. If some women in other countries weren't forced to wear them, then it wouldnt even be an issue. Well that aspect of it sometimes confuses me. Are they always forced to wear it or only sometimes forced to wear it. Sometimes you see them wear the long cloak but they just have their hair covered but not their entire face. Other times they have the full garb and face mask. It would appear very oppressive. I have a hard time listening to the ratonalizations for it. |
