This dawned on me last night, and it was depressing! I realized that every "relationship" I have had from online dating (whether it was meeting in person, IMing, or LDL w/e-mail and phone calls) was from the guy initially contacting me through the site. Never from me having initiated contact. Not that I don't try! I met a guy here (he contacted me!) who was so cool, crazy, wonderful, lovable, fun. . .but we live too far away, and I am looking for more than e-mail. Now I am back and have begun e-mailing a few guys here and there. No responses! It looks like I just have to sit back and wait!

I have been away awhile, just kind of off and on. I see now on some topics that readers have the option to ask that certain topics be deleted for various reasons (drama, insulting, duplicate), but I don't notice it on ALL community posts. How does this work? Just curious.

I signed up in April, met my guy at the end of June. That's almost 3 months of being on the boards daily, much less only being a member for 3 days.

I met a guy on here. I was heavy into the forums (he never posted but I guess he read them a lot), and he liked my attitude. He wrote me. That was over a month ago. We talk on the phone and have moved our e-mailing over to myspace. I certainly am *very* happy.

I think if you have to keep asking, that is your answer right there. I'm sorry about that. But if a guy ditched me for weeks at a time, I would say he is not good enough for me. He doesn't care enough and doesn't think anything of leaving you hanging. You deserve better than that. Say goodbye to him and make room in your life for a guy who will treat you better than that.

IMd with a kid here who said he just wanted to talk, despite our age
difference (he was like 21, I'm 46). Went well enough until he asked me if I am sexually frustrated. I spanked him and sent him to his room, which is probably what he was after all along. |

I think it also pretty much has to match up to as many groomsmen as the
man has. I had to keep adding bridesmaids because the ex kept adding guys to his side of the bridal party! |

If you think about it, mach25, your original question was very
metaphysical and thought-provoking! |

A guy can't help what size his penis is. He can help what he *does*
about it, like not brag 24 hours a day about how great he is in bed when he can't even get it up (sorry; I would never be cruel and throw it in a guy's face that he is impotent, but if I guy is gonna be all, "I'm so great in bed!!!" 24 hours a day, I have to respond to his constant failure and make him face reality by pointingo out, buddy, you can't even get it up!), make sure the woman enjoys herself, etc. |

This guy I met on match.com swore women called and demanded to know the
size of his penis before they would date him. But then again, maybe word got around, because his penis was the size of my thumb. And no, he didn't know how to use it. |

I think, for your sake, if you still have associations between your
abuse and women who had nothing to do with the abuse (heavy women today), you have not fully healed. |

I looooooooooooooove storms, and here in MO, we get plenty. If I had a
guy, I would drag him off to bed during a storm. But I don't, so I just enjoy it on my own. |

My ex-mother-in-laws constant interference and criticism of me helped
break up my 19 year marriage. Yeah, there were other problems, but it sure didn't help. |

Cool! I love IA. My sister lives works in Iowa City, at the hospital.
Even though I am from the midwest, I can tell when I am in IA (as opposed to MO). It truly is a beautiful state. |
