Just saw a projection that in the state where I am, the governor said we would reach the peak in 6 - 8 weeks. Currently, we have 118 confirmed cases. It seems New York state and especially New York City have become the epicenter of the outbreak in the US. Sounds like it is getting really bad there.

Unfortunately... The park with bungalows around the corner is getting fuller again. Many are owned by people who use it during holidays, I assume some will be rented out too. I saw quite a lot of cars now, and these aren't locals as not long ago it was still empty. And many were Germans...

At least you in the UK don't have any borders with any country. Belgium did close the borders, but they still come here en masse for shopping, and they are very rude, just touching employees, getting too close etc.
We don't get them much here, too far away for shopping, but we do get Germans...
I even saw some company advertising having free beach apartments?? While our province asked people who don't live here to NOT come here.

Oh well... time and wait it out is all we can do.

Yes, suddenly all these people with second homes and mobile homes are turning up in hundreds if not thousands in rural Wales, no doubt bringing the virus with them into a much lower population of about four million people and only the medical infrastructure geared to that population.

Recently I heard it's from the lab. in China where nuclear weapons are produced accidentally there was an outbreak of the virus. Which do we believe?

In the everyday fabric of our lives and trying to live through this virus which is obviously present in our society, what is the real difference in what the original source was? We need to take the necessary steps to combat the virus and move forward with our lives. Focus on the present and what you can do for your future, not what is in the past that you cannot change!!

I agree with oldkid. Right now, we have to focus on the present.. to level the spread of coronavirus. When we survive this pandemic, history can be studied then.. not now. We focus on survival. not blame.

A woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 was arrested by police in Quebec City for having allegedly violated an isolation order by being outside her home.

When a person receives an isolation order, a provincial health and social services centre can ask police to place them under surveillance.

Apparently, the woman was arrested without incident Friday afternoon while taking a walk through in Quebec City’s Limoilou district and she was taken to hospital.

Here in Toronto, a man in his 70s is the first person in the city to die from COVID-19 since the coronavirus outbreak began. The said the man recently traveled to the United Kingdom.

As of Sunday, there were a total of 220 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Toronto.

The source of the outbreak has not yet been identified . I remain open minded about all possibilities regardless of what China proclaim and await further developments with interest

New Zealand has just announced that as a nation we will be going into lockdown within 48 hrs for the next four weeks (this will be reviewed over this course of time and extended if necessary ) . Only essential services .., healthcare .. pharmacies .. supermarkets banks and petrol stations will remain open . Police and armed forces will be more visible to support and assist during the the lockdown .

This Is a proactive measure to prevent community spread and to reduce any anticipated burden on our health system including potential mortalities .

Scott Morrison is under the influence of Jacinda Ardern. I observed this when New Zealand announced 14days self isolation for foreigners coming in to New Zealand. Morrison did same. Ardern placed a ban and Morrison did same. New Zealand closed borders and Australia did same and also locked Bondi beach.
Australia will soon announce 4wks lockdown. I'm waiting to hear it. Haha.

the past holds the most important key to a cure .
If they do not find the source .. a Future cure will take too long . Hopefully China now have time to focus on a cure and finding the source .
