I dont know what you are talking about. I explained how military owns you. I said nothing about what I or my husband thought.

I didn't accuse you of negative military post I said anti - president. But I find it offensive that people in the military are " owned" by our government. You do have to adhere to their strict standards and limited free time. But that's a far cry from being owned. When you say they are owned by the government you equate them with slavery. 75% of military enlistments are joining for the simple reason they want to help protect their country.

I dont have data on why military join and I suspect information gathered by just asking them may be tainted. But that is besides the point.

If you are not free you are owned. Slavery was only one type of ownership.
If you have an employer for which you can go to JAIL for leaving of your own accord, that is ownership.

If you have an employer that you are not free to question without LEGALLY sanctioned punitive consequence, that is ownership.

if you have to agree to unquestioningly DIE or KILL for an employer, that is someone else OWNING your life, literally.

people pay for things they own, it doesnt make it any less an act of ownership.

Sorry if that offends, but that is truth as I see it. There is nothing about that which makes it less noble, and Im sure many in the military understand it to be the truth. It's CONSENTUAL ownership, but ownership just the same.

I would no more want just anyone in the service than I would want them in the operating room. THat is no indication that I in any way do not support the military or medical professionals, for that matter.

those in supervision in the military are often quite quick to remind those (especially the fairly new members) that they are now the property of uncle sam and that you have given up many rights afforded americans in providing that service.

i would hazard a guess that anyone who has ever served would know that.
as do many that have not.

Lazy in the sense that others are doing more harder work than you whilst carrying your burden as well.

Usually involves students, and people what are claiming benefits.

few are lazy when it comes to working a goal, but people have different priorities and goals they work towards.

It's funny watching liberals ***** about the stock market losing money when they didn't have anything invested. The recession was about more than the stock market. People lost jobs and homes but liberals were told to blame it on mortgage backed securities.

People were refinancing to go on vacations, pay off credit card debit, a new bass boat, etc. They borrowed as much money as banks would lend. They saved absolutely nothing for a rainy day. The first little hick-up and they were screwed. But taking the blame for their mistakes would be crazy.

My son just got out 6 months ago.. how much more recent would you like?. And he was in for 9 years.. so I think I do know.

But since you know about thee things I will defer it to you. And would love to hear about them. What exactly is the " very area" and what changes to this " area" have been made.

by way of excuse, there is none. it was wrong.

what happened was that i quickly dipped in to see what was going on and rather than double check, i assumed that part of it was about a recent story reguarding the service and stationing of married service members.

was it lazy? maybe. if jumping to conclusions can be considered lazy.

Ive used the term lazy in reference to more than I can remember.

Lazy perceived.
A person who works hard guages laziness by the length of time it takes one to learn something, repeat a task the same way each time, the length of time to complete tasks.

Many articles in recent months on how Amazon perceives laziness. And w strikes your out. Auotas are used to help profits.
I fire lazy people always. Be gone. I cant afford lazy people.

Bigger companies use HR to weed them out.
There are some incredible tests companies put prospective employees through screening and call backs on references are usually worded to find every weakness the individual may have.

The bottom line points to waste and employees who dont work to the companies expectations.

Then theres those who are too damn lazy to even work or put trash in a trash can.

Lazy people stand out. They are usually sitting...always.

Again, I am puzzled by your logic. I believe you are against welfare, but when these corporations (Citibank, GM...) acted without fiduciary responsibility, corporate welfare was OK for them? Why didn't Citibank use the money THEY saved for a rainy day? (The answer is that the money went to salaries and bonuses to the people on the top of the company instead, they did not lose THEIR jobs)

The funny thing about a recession, it hits EVERYone, not just the people who caused it, or who owned the effected stocks. But yet, the people who caused it didn't lose THEIR jobs, when their actions and decisions certainly had a waterfall effect that caused others (in differing business sectors even) to lose their jobs.

I have described myself as lazy as well. Usually it is just when I try to think things through at work, instead of having to take actions twice... It has actually spawned a phrase of "Sometimes laziness pays off"

The bailouts were to keep the value of the dollar from going to **** but you know that already. They were stabilizing our country. So stop pretending it was our govt focused on making a corporation some money. You can't blame one group of people for the recession. Investors losing money when mortgages began to default, had nothing to do with the loss of jobs that caused the foreclosures.
There will always be downturns in the economy. You can't protect people from themselves. Consumer debt is just as high now. Which means people haven't learned from their mistakes. The only difference is there is a shortage of new homes being built. We are already in another housing bubble because home prices are out pacing wages. The bubble can't burst because of the shortage of homes.

I don't think investing in real estate is a good idea right now unless you run across an exceptionally good deal. Labor and materials are up so it makes flipping more difficult. I do believe rent is going to keep going up, because it cost so much to own, that more people are renting.

I've been reachering peer to peer investments. Hard money loans are risky but can easily pay double digit interest. Worth looking into.
