Actually a large portion of Americans don't pay any taxes at all. The large corporations are paying the majority of the taxes.

That's an interesting observation, do you have citations to back this up?

I speculate that there are more corporations in the US making say, a billion dollars than there are individual citizens making a billion dollars, so it would make sense that corporations would be paying more than individuals.

I believe that the reason why Dear Leader is so adverse to releasing his taxes is because his accountants have found enough tax loopholes to make sure HE is one of the "large portion" of Americans who did not pay taxes. I mean, if he was paying an inordinately large tax bill, he would have paraded his 1040 down Broadway.

I know the argument is that "illegals don't pay taxes", but they aren't Americans though, right? I mean, even people on unemployment (max $20K a year) get taxes deducted from their checks.

The tax burden in the US is balanced on the backs of the middle class, and that is the reason why the "middle class tax cut" is a great talking point for politicians on both sides, but is a fantasy

Do you think the welfare queen is going to be working past retirement age and donating her salary?

Maybe I'm not so concerned with how much Trump pays in taxes because most people his age aren't paying taxes at all. They are getting social security and medicare. The ones who didn't bother accomplishing anything in life are also getting foodstamps and Medicaid.

Isn't the reason people are so upset over the corporate tax cut is because they are living a life that depends on the tax $$ to support them? Because when a person is fine with people sitting home and getting tax $$ but upset that working people get a tax cut, something is terribly wrong.

so, you're saying that you aren't concerned if rich older people don't actually follow the actual laws, but you are concerned if you "think" that a "welfare queen" person might not be donating their salary while working past retierement age?

very interesting. go on...

and, no; your projection over why the people are upset over corporate taxes is misguided.
nevermind the fact that corporations don't earn all that money themselves, but with the help of their employees who don't get many of the the same tax breaks for their cut of the dollar that the corporations and their shareholders do...

and, since you're being lazy about discovering why some people don't have the opportunities to "accomplish anything in life", i'll be lazy and truncate my response to this...infrastructure and national debt.

corporations need the infrastructure, and are users of as much or more of it than the "welfare queens".
isn't it lazy to get all the benefits of big government without wanting to pay their share of the cost of building the roads, bridges, rails, air and sea ports etc, et al, that the "welfare queens" will probably never get to use but will forever be villified for not paying enough for them?

Corporations are still paying taxes. It's just they are paying less now. We aren't in a recession anymore and welfare benefits are being cut. Liberals aren't happy about going to work for the corporations instead of a handout from the corporations tax $$

lazy: unwilling to work or use energy.

Notice, nothing in definition of lazy says anything about finance or paychecks, just 'energy' and 'work'

work: activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.

Notice, result does not HAVE to be a paycheck.

considering the actual definition of the words, I doubt that being 'lazy' is a political position or the exclusive domain of any political affiliation
not doing your job is lazy. Ice should have been informed that they were holding a illegal set for deportation . But instead of calling ice that POS governor let this animal go free and basically let him rape a child. Some folks should be shot for their shameless acts against America.

no. not doing your job is incompetent or inefficient. Lazy would be not doing any WORK.

Don't have the opportunities?.. or pass up the opportunities.

As one poster from the left stated that he had done his service to the country and then he was set to gain willful employment after that. He should be commended for that.

That would seem like a good positive start.. wouldn't it, as opposed to collecting welfare. Plus it would build them into mature people who have learned to fend for themselves.. right?

You want to join a really good "gang".. a really tough one.. Join the Marine Corp.

One of my sons, just finished up 9 years in the Marine Corp., he served this country and fought the battles he was told to and he got hurt doing it. And he continued his education. He graduates next spring with a masters in his field.

Who paid for it.. Uncle Sam.. gladly. Uncle Sam says " thank you " to hard work and dedication. Uncle Sam doesn't mind paying for that.

So some prefer to sit on their lazy a*s and wait for handouts.. as the opportunities just go by. Others make things happen.

That is the difference.

opportunities are useless if they are hidden from sight.

some people pass up opportunity, and some people are far removed from and unaware of how to take advantage of or find opportunities

how is paying less as a corporate citizen than the average human citizen justifiable?

oh, and about that whole not being in a recession anymore thing...the lazy rich that caused it, the lazy right that refuses to put the lazy rich culprits in jail for it...
you're welcome.

(that was they doings of the lazy left president withOUT any help from the lazy rich or the republicans. they only said no, which on the surface seems lazy but for how hard they worked at saying no)

thank you for your service, and for your son's.
i hate that he got hurt, and i hope he's doing well.

btw, uncle sam doesn't always say thank you gladly to our veterans. as a matter of fact there are milions of veterans trying unsuccessfully to get the promised services from the same uncle sam that put them in harm's way against their will and conscience as well as a great many that volunteered, which is abhorrent. i can't believe that as a country we allow that kind of refusal to do the legal and right thing. perhaps we are lazy as a whole, on that note?
j/s.

and, btw, just because it's true that many employers (especially the super large and/or multi national corps take an unfare share of the profits earned by the efforts of the various members of the organizations, i agree there are a tremendous amount of responsible business owners like those that you described in your previous post about how you run your business, and as a responsible business owner i wish you and your orginization continued success and many steak dinners.
(i recommend ribeyes. they're the best!)

hopefully, as a good steward of your organization, those that loyally contribute to you are always fairly compensated for their loyalty and dedication to your leadership.
(i suspect you aren't earning hundreds of times the wages of your average valued employee?)

The Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corp, Coast Guard & National Guard recruitment offices are hidden from site?

Is there anyone in the U.S. who has not heard of them or does not know how to walk into one.

Is it not a more attractive way to EARN money and LEARN a skill. Is it not a attractive way of getting a higher education, or help with purchasing your first house. Is it not a attractive way of learning right from wrong, self control and personal responsibility.

Or is it easier to just sleep all day and sell drugs and shoot people in the night time.

How did the rich cause the recession?

Do you know anything about how the sub-prime mortgages were packaged up and sold, so the banks could simply write loans to anyone who applied? And when all this worthless paper ended up being called in, the banks (who had made money hand over fist with the loans) all of a sudden needed corporate welfare from the government because they claimed they were "too big to fail"? I am guessing a lot of the poor did not have stocks in these blue-chip companies, but the RICH certainly did, and demanded through the Congress that the US government bail them out?

What about the auto industry? Take loans that you don't have any intention to repay? Did you know that GM in 2008 was basically majority OWNED by the US government, because the government had to step in? Do you think that the bad decisions made at the top of GM were by people who were living paycheck to paycheck, or do you think they were well-to-do folks with good jobs?

Even today, members of Trump's cabinet can't understand why they have to fly coach on planes to meetings, and why shouldn't they be able to book private jets?

Get over it! Welfare happens at the top as well as the bottom. The only people who do NOT get it are the middle class, who are not rich or connected enough to get bail outs.

Yes. it is more 'attractive', but 'attractive' isnt the reason people sign up for military nor is it the job requirement or the motivation I believe the military is enlisting young people. And its not 'attractive' once the young are deployed to possibly kill or be killed by complete strangers.

I cant think of anything that is harder, in fact, than signing away your life to be owned by the government that way, nothing at all, which is why I would never think people should have it be their only option out of poverty.

anyways, i agree that the military provides opportunities for some, they are not necessarily the right opportunities for all.
especially when under the direction of such an (allegedly) corrupt administration and multiple draft dodging rich kid become president who never understood duty, honor or integrity to this day.

and, what makes anyone think there aren't 'lazies' on the right?
(j/s)

and, just who decided what is lazy, and what isn't?

isn't this america...life, liberty, pursuit of happiness?
is happiness working nonstop to buy kitschy plastic crap we don't need and didn't know we wanted?

is working hard enough to accomplish your goals and dreams and then relaxing bad, if they are less toilsome or involved than another's?

is the desire for a more relaxed life in a paradise unsullied by the ravages of the 'non lazies' not a fair pursuit of life, liberty, pursuit of happiness?

is happiness slaving away to make others richer and more powerful so they can have more control over you and your paradise or someone else and their paradise???

are one's pursuits any more or less valuable than another's?

if your pursuits get in the way of others' should you be allowed to continue with them?

does circumstance change opinions?
should it?

how are these parameters set?
how should the be set?

who gets to decide?

hmmmm?

I thought of the perfect answer to that first question

LAZY thinking ..... haaa

This post is about lazy democrats.

Well, the folks who believe this demagogue in the White House without checking his facts are pretty lazy too.

When you let someone else do your thinking for you, do you REALLY think the guy doing the thinking is going to think "What is in the best interest of Workin4it?", or is he going to say "Well, I am doing all the work in thinking this through, what is in MY best interest?"

Let me break it down a bit further: I say to my ex-wife when we were married "Where would you like to go for dinner?"
She says "I don't know, where would you like to go?"
"Well, we could go here, or here, or here"
"I don't care"
Where do we end up going? The place I want to go. And then I hear afterwards "I hate this place, why did we end up coming here?"
And I DON'T say the correct answer which is "because you were too lazy to THINK"

How does this same thing apply to the right? Well, a guy says "let's build a 2000 mile wall". Nobody thinks "wow, that didn't work in China 2000 years ago", they say "wow, we can't afford the taxes to pay for it". The guy says, "we'll get our neighbor to pay for it". Nobody thinks to say "Can the neighbor afford to pay for it for us? What if he says no?"
And they don't think of things that have been invented since China built their wall, like planes, missiles, container ships, or fresh produce from South America that we have come to enjoy. "Wow, will a wall stop any of those things coming to America? I hope not, I LIKE being able to eat fresh strawberries in the winter" And they don't think that 22 Pounds of uranium (the amount used in Hiroshima)is only the size of a grapefruit. And that we have more container ships coming into the port of LA in a week than probably comes over the border in 3 months, and a wall is not going to help search those containers.
"It is OK, the Orange man has thought it through FOR me, I don't need to think about it. I am too lazy to try to figure out if he is lying of full of $hit"

Oh, and let's not even talk about the 80% of the voters in the US who were too lazy to come out and vote.

MS.. Are you kidding me?.. Lol... Do you think recruiters are just in the NYC area. I am the only one who sees them.. Lol. They are in every county in the United States, they are on T.V, The internet. They are in newspapers, magazines, ect., ect. So please don't cheapen your words by claiming that recruiters are hard to find. Because everyone here.. left and right.. knows differently

Btw, are you saying there are no recruiters in Chicago?

Ah yes,, They can take the money from the government but can't ( and won't ) defend their country by doing what Americans have been doing since the conception of this country.

And you disrespect all who have served and certainly those who have died with your words and your clear " gimme, gimme, gimme outlook to your country.

And who said it was their only option?. It is A option, a POSITIVE move towards personal responsibility and developing a skill to be used after the service. Don't like that one, well that's fine then find another one. Any positive move forward is better then... no move forward.

This country was built on those who served. left and right. And it was not built for others to sit back and just take what they have fought for.

Did I state recruiters are ONLY in NYC? No. That is not what I think. I think recruiters are in many places, they also are NOT everyplace.

Many people dont watch 'tv' anymore. When I have watched I have not seen enlistment commercials, and I dont live in an underserved community. And I doubt kids struggling in underserved communities spend much time browsing through newspapers and magazines, IF they even have any.

And why should the government (of by and FOR the people, btw) do anything to improve infrastructure and opportunity for the underserved if leaving it gets them automatic ownership of their lives? And why should the military be the ONLY option for those who have grown up in these underserved communities?

I have disrespected no one and said nothing about 'give me'. I have military family myself. SO I will ignore the deflection.

This country was built on those who served AND MANY who gave and were not served. never forget it. So military is one of many people to thank and give a damn about in this country.
