with the anti muslim sentiment going on, I hope he gets a general discharge and moves on with his life I know people coming out of juvie for actual CRIMES who dont get this type of slack about it,,,he is young and I hope it turns out well for him and that he isnt punished for choosing peace(whether he chose it at 19 or at 20, at least he chose it)

Because troop strength is needed and he wasted taxpayer time and money, a General Discharge would be a stretch. I would hope to see, at the least an Undesirable Discharge. With a General, if he's been in a year, will get Veterans Benefits. He is a coward. Him being a muslim is just for media sake.

If your application is approved, you will be discharged (or reclassified as a non-combatant if that's what you applied for). Normally COs get an honorable discharge, the characterization is based on your military service record. Personally, I'd like to see his petition denied and he be ordered to rejoin his unit. I would salute the officer who denies him.

Sure wish there was a follow up article on what the Military plans on doing with the LIl' Coward. I hope he gets put in a cell with someone who is in for life and hasn't been with a woman in over 15 years. Someone who is big and horny. Also make sure the only food he gets is pork.

I say, send petitions to revoke his request and send him in with his Unit. Teach him what it's like to live with adult decisions and follow through with commitments.

One you sign your life away and if you break the commitment you goto Federal Prison or the Brig, PERIOD.
