World's Greatest Dad was really cool.
I watched The Salton Sea the other day. Really cool movie with Val Kilmer about meth. Well, it's about a lot more than meth... but that's the central focus, basically. Vincent D'Onofrio plays a dealer with no nose. |

I'll see Half Nelson tonight. Any good?

Just watched SHERLOCK HOLMES. Was a decent film. No where near Ritchie's best, but of course this was a film that was geared for making money (over $200 million in the US alone). Downey as Holmes wasn't as convincing as Law as Watson. But eh, it was a fun film.

Aww c'mon Goof! Downey is the best mad genius ever and Law is too adorable to pass up but has that badazz streak that's hot.
I admit, not Ritchie's best...there's so much better he's done. But it was a good movie. I just watched it the other night myself. Last night I saw Robin Hood, with Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. Being about 7% historically accurate didn't stop me from loving this movie. Crowe and Blanchett go well together and damn but they're so romantic. Frickin Mark Strong (he was Lord Blackburn in Sherlock Holmes too) has got to be one of the best new baddies ever. He's downright scary. I actually loved the whole cast. Robin's band of merry men included the singer of a pretty popular Canadian band called Great Big Sea. He sang and played half way through the movie which I loved. All in all, see it! |

Your right about Mark Strong. Dude is wicked as a baddie. I also loved him as Archie in Rocknrolla. Loved how smug and loyal that character was, and how Strong portrayed it. I still think I will wait for blu ray to watch Robin Hood. Besides, Prince of Persia opens this friday, and I am totally geeked up about this one. |

Sherlock Holmes (2010), not to be confused with Ritchie's version. I was actually surprised by this one considering it's super low budget and and straight-to-DVD. It's almost like they took a story out of "Improbable Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes", a giant octopus, a dinosaur, and a dragon are some of the things that pop up in this version. Gareth David-Lloyd(Ianto Jones from Dr Who/Torchwood) plays Watson. Good fun.

It was a heck of a lot better than the Kevin Costner version. |

I'm for sure watching that one |

I'm trying to find a torrent for it Torgo
I was never a fan of Costner but I love Alan Rickman and he was awesome as the Sheriff in that movie. Other than that I didn't care for that movie so much. Now Cary Elwes was hilarious in Men in Tights! I seriously laugh so hard when I see that movie it's ridiculous. And Dave Chapelle |

Another really good take on Robin Hood is "Robin and Marian"- c'mon, Sean Connery as Robin, Audrey Hepburn as Marian! Heh, I even like the animated Robin Hood from Disney. |

Aww my oldest niece was obsessed with that movie as a toddler. Like, 4 times a day she had to watch that.
She's 13 now and probably still loves it. |

Probably at 13 she'd probably think it's totally not cool now(or whatever current lingo)- I know I was that way at 13.

The part where he decides to get Christopher to ship, knowing he will not be able to stop his own transformation is just awesome. And then when Christopher promises to return to fix him....touching. Got to me man.
