Watched Avatar and It's Complicated yesterday.
Avatar was very good---in my opinion. It's Complicated--was okay. Divorced couple start thinking "what if" 10 years after their divorce and have an affair with each other, blah, blah, blah. Definetly a girly movie---in my opinion. |

I think I may be watching too many movies. its hard to find something I haven't seen..lol
This weekend I saw... Nightmare on Elmstreet. (on Friday night) It was not as good as the Original series, since the "new" Freddy is more cocky than just evil. (I like evil better...ha ha) Iron Man2 (On Saturday night)Ohh yea! Awesome. Usually sequels tend to let ppl down, this one did not disappoint, although I may be bias to that decision, cuz I waited 1 hr in the theatre line. (Yay for unlimited texting to make the time go by quicker..lol) Last night I saw Kiss Kiss Bang Bang on Video on Demand.. It was definitely different.. Black action comedy..loved it. |

(I like evil better...ha ha) But at least he wasn't giving silly one-liners like he did in Part 3 through Freddy's Dead...thankfully Craven made him evil again in New Nightmare. |

Triangle - What a trip ... Groundhog Day meets The Bermuda Triangle and I married an Axe Murderer ... I know you don't like horror films, but Christopher Smith(writer/director of Triangle)also made Creep '04(creepy goings on with something lurking in the subway tunnels) And Severance '06(Excellent horror comedy about a group of employees out in the woods for a team-building weekend, but they are not alone) |

The House Of The Devil '09
Finally! A horror film that says it feels old school and it actually does. Nice and spooky, with a great 80's vibe. |

Last 2 days:
The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus ... Brill and such creative sets! Made me really miss Heath ... Nine - Musical/Filmic homage to my fav director, Fellini ... ... SO clever how it wove in his many films and his personality and life. If you've not done so already? See everything of this master's ... Esp., my fav: City of Women! Peacock - Woah ... ... Just think of it as the Prequel to "Psycho" ... Norman Bates 1.0 ... Such a disturbed individual held completely in as tight a "check" as possible via his daily rote ritual ... What happens when the fabric of this procedure is ripped to the truly clinically insane ... Mayhem ... Fascinating study ... As if before the "Motel" era ... |

Are these too just as well written? Yanno me ... Much past that, I just can't stomach ... TRUE Wimp, am I ... |

I'd say Triangle was the better written of the 3- Smith seems to improve with each film. |

I went to see The Back-up Plan with J.Lo and this hot Aussie Alex O'Loughlin (tanned and topless farmer hottie? oh yes please!).
It was pretty much what you'd expect from the plot, girl is baby crazed, gets inseminated, meets hot guy, has to tell him she's with baby, they struggle to fond their flow. But it was super funny. Like some of the supporting characters were just over the top and ridiculous and J.Lo was just as cute as always. (Oh god the dresses were fantastic!) I'd say chicks will dig it. Cute movie. |

Edge of Darkness: First of all, I love Ray Winestone. The man is just a favorite of mine, and not to mention a great actor. Once again, in a supporting role, he shined. Gibson, in his first leading role in quite some time, really hasn't lost it at all. He played the tormented father part very well. The movie really isn't about vengeance. Moreso, it is about a father trying to understand what happens and why it did. It's a good movie that does have a moment or two when it drags. But the parts that Winstone and Gibson share on screen are great.

I've recently been rewatching the 80's British series "Robin of Sherwood", Winstone plays Will Scarlett...recently seeing Winstone in movies I kept thinking I knew him from something I'd seen years ago, Robin of Sherwood was it. And he steels the show when he's on screen. |

Ray Winstone... I'll admit to having a dirty old man crush on him. It's the voice, I'm a sucker for East End gangster types
I watched an old BBC movie called Scum he did. I think it was mid-70's. He was this delinquent who got shipped off to a 'boys school' they called it for committing assault or something. So this one bully in the boys jail has been going around *ahem* well.... You know, assaulting all the other boys and Ray had this scene where he just mangled the dude in the upstairs bathroom yelling "WHOSE THE DADDY NOW! HUH?" and it was seriously sooo graphic to me. Messed up movie. He was my favourite as Mr.Beaver in Narnia |

Iron Man 2 and Shutter Island... at a drive in...
Of course Iron Man 2 was good... it still had Robert Downey Jr. in it. I was surprised that I was as intrigued as I was by Shutter Island and by how much Leonardo DiCaprio has grown up since I last saw him in "The Beach". So two thumbs up for two movies in my opinion. |

Watched GATTACA last night. Came out in 1997 but I would have never guessed it to be 13 years old. I really liked it but I like the science based movies.

Crazy Heart- great performance by Jeff Bridges otherwise it seemed too much like a lifetime movie.
Brazil- still one of my favorites from Terry Gilliam True Romance- if you're a Tarantino fan see it. |
