ok now just out of curiosity here..... a religious post sums up that god is the meaning of life and anybody who does not believe in god is meaningless and nothing. now he has stated his opinion and thats all fine and dandy. he really has done nothing wrong here that i can see, how bout the mods? i'll await a reply before i continue here....... In my opinion I would consider this post unacceptable because the poster has clearly attacked non-believers in god. |

so we must cater to the thin skinned Those are your words, not mine. I think I've stated pretty clearly my point of view. See here is the thing - some of us make fun of everything - ourselves, our friends, and every bit of irony that is presented to us. Why do people have to take it all so seriously? So I made fun of someone - the proper thing to do is give it right back to me, not go running to the mods. but your idea of fun could hurt someone. And i would go to the mods. |

My personal opinion -- in a written medium, operating under the assumption that one wishes to be understood and understandable here, it is simply in one's own best interests to ensure that his/her communications are as clear and coherent as possible. It's not my job to translate anyone else's failed attempts at the English language. This is a place for people to meet and get to know each other, not to do cryptograms. Sorry if that offends anyone, but that's just the way I see it. I agree. I feel that if a person repeatedly makes spelling errors to the point where we, as readers, cannot understand them, then that crosses the theshold over to rudeness rather than carelessness or an issue of non-importance to the typer. In extreme or perseverating circumstances....I try to joke, clearly joke, or ask the person to correct it so that I might understand. If they don't at least try to explain or correct it.... I do see that as rude. I think there are things that offend our sensibilities as individuals and we all have that right. It goes both ways. |

Then what of the ONES who can spell correctly and great grammer. But HAVE NO IDEA to the mental concepts of most questions or their answers? Then WE or YOU BOTH here would find their LACK of NOT understanding as RUDE also?? Just a question.. |

Just a thought here. But,if you feel that away. Then what of the ONES who can spell correctly and great grammer. But HAVE NO IDEA to the mental concepts of most questions or their answers? Then WE or YOU BOTH here would find their LACK of NOT understanding as RUDE also?? Just a question.. After an honest attempt or two...I did not even understand the question. Which kind of appeals to my sense of irony.. but I am not sure why. _____________________________________ As to the subject at hand.. Some of us have had more education then others, for a variety of valid reasons.. Some of us are disabled in this area. Some of us are more natural in our communication skills. Some of us have to put a concerted effort into it. Some of us are more prone to typos then others. I have my own attributes in this.. Both good and bad. I am certainly not stupid, but I am also not the brightest bulb in the box either.. There are those of us that consistently attempt to communicate at levels beyond their means. Discussing subject matter that is clearly outside of their realm of understanding and thinking. Which, in itself is not a bad thing... But in their effort to appear scholarly and knowledgeable.. They fail to speak clearly and concisely on the subject at hand, Demonstrating an inability and clear lack of knowledge or experience in what they are trying to discuss.. Then place blame on all who fail to get the message, or ask for clarification. Those that do this? Are consistently guilty of taking communication for granted.. and are often trying to be something they are not. Posing is posing... Sometimes it can be healthy to point those out. For instance.. When was the last time we saw someone say they have a Masters degree in business... Yet have a constant difficulty in spelling the word 'business' or using it in a well constructed sentence? |
