I think it depends on the type of employment you choose to do, if it nessitates drug testing. Me I have no problem being tested and have been for employment purposes.

I read a lot also, like all kinds of books except sci-fi or romance novels. Recently read a book called Lottery Winner, was very good currently reading On Bear Mountain (picked it up at the Goodwill) Also read Twilight recently, not to impressed with that one.

Hahahaha! Ya know you CAN always find something to compliment a person like........"I really like how you are doing your part to go green like your not wearing deodarant(?)...."

But actually this topic is about complimenting others, me I'm over this guy that and a few other issues made me decide "he's just not worth it". But instead of pay it forward how about pay a compliment and just see how good it makes you and the person feel...........Nice shoes:wink:

Oh yeah when I first met him for a coffee date I complimented him. And even wrote him a note after the coffee date complimenting him, Nada, nothing back from him. And he wrote me a note after the date (the one I wrote about) and I would think he would say something then. It just reminds me of my ex he wouldn't hand out a compliment because he was so jealous (and "hated" women) that I think he thought it would go to my head and I'd start strutting about, like uhhuh, I'm so hawwttttttttt.laugh

THIS IS NOT A RANT! Just a vent.......You ever notice how when you compliment someone how their face and eyes light up and how it makes you (and them) feel good to know that you brightened their day even just a little bit. The reason I'm talking about this is because of a situation that happened to me. I went on a date, spent some time getting ready, was dressed approiately(?) for the date and the guy never even said squat about how I looked. Now I'm not wanting someone to fawn over me with compliments but just to acknowledge that I looked nice, or nice blouse or even Hey, nice shoes!(thanks). What's so wrong, that people can't give out a compliment, try it sometime, next time you are out and about compliment someone, see how good it makes them feel and you!Pour some sugar on them!

Thank you invisible, that clarifies a few things for me, and Duffy you look great the way you are. And we nver know.....that woman might of been just "fronting it" because material things in some peoples minds equal happiness.

Yeah I know what you mean my ex was the jealous type and was always accusing me of being unfaithful etc. But my being jealous, I just end the relationship before I end up getting hurt or not. In other words if I suspect that maybe I'm being "played", I'm gone.I think maybe I just need to learn to be more communicative (?) and ask the person, hey! are you not happy with me? than let me know now.

I once had a cat that got jealous of the kitty I got her for Xmas (I thought she needed a companion, since I was gone from home so much). She started not using her litter box then one evening she came out of hiding (she started hiding under my bed and just stalking around) looked right at me and proceeded to urinate on the carpet.I ended up giving her away to a friend that didn't have a cat, and could lavish the attention she was missing
