Resting, closing my eyes, but not sleeping
Dreaming, aware of what could have been Eyes wide open, red and blinding Sandpaper against my eyelids I gaze at the stars not bothering to make a wish I've had my chances Ran with the wind again Now, here I am Exhausted I finally stopped running when I ran into your arms I thought THIS was IT... and, now, I don't know... I thought I'd be the one to push YOU away, but It seems the shoe is on the other foot. Now, here I am Looking at the moon wondering if you even know how much it hurt me when you hung up the phone... You said bye, but, no "I Love You" for the first time? Just a click and a dial tone and, here I am feeling so very alone... Maybe it's because of what I've said all along... You'll get enough of me and walk away eventually... Did you turn off the phone? Or sleeping so heavily? Knowing, I'd call, not wanting to be disturbed?
