I quite honestly do not know how I made it through 26 years of no Karaoke. At least I have three years to cherish, and more to come! Glad to see I am not the only one addicted to Karaoke. I go 2-3 times a week! I also keep track of the songs I sing and try at least four new songs a week. I also make sure to get the show thirty minutes early, just so I can be at the top of the first rotation. Karaoke Queen..... Your my Hero!  I feel the exact same way. I take it as a personal challenge to sing hard songs that go fast. I'm not a huge country fan, but I'm one of the few who can sing 'down at the twist and shout' by Mary Chapin Carpenter. I take my Kareoke very seriously.

A meeting of the minds is a wonderful thing and when you find the right person, the meeting of the bodies is pretty good too. But a meeting of both is FAN-F*CKING-TASTIC! |

They want a funny, strong, attractive, smart guy with a good job. They want him to be independent yet family oriented. Someone who they share interests with but who also has different interests who can broaden their horizons. What he said...and cuddling...I like to cuddle. |

i cannot let the holiday pass. Terrible, truly terrible film. Written so over the top in a way to make caricatures out of the men, I was embarassed for Jack black and Ed Burns both, usually good actors. So Phony! Yuck! There are good chick flicks of course, who mentioned 2 weeks notice was fun. The dead architect version with sandra bullock was not fun for the dead architect. chick flicks are supposed to inspire chicks! you need quality and a happy ending. the Princess Bride looks good to me, if i was a chick that would be my choice. Also, good call on last of the mohicans, he kills the bad guy and saves the girls and runs, runs, runs, lots of high enery running What are you a film critic? Unless you are a card carrying member of the Dorothy Regime, all you have is a man's opinion on what you think a 'chick flick' is. The point of a 'Chick Flick' is to make women feel good about themselves, fictional, unrealistic as it may seem. If I want inspiration, I'll watch 'Million Dollar Baby' or 'Erin Brockovich'. BTW PRINCESS BRIDE!!! Definitely a chick flick about love being all powerful, but hardly inspiring. Unless you count being inspired to quote the movie: HELLO.MY NAME IS INDIGO MONTOYA. YOU KILLED MY FATHER. PREPARE TO DIE. |

Maybe its the 'old fashion girl' in me, but I dont think its very classy to not try and look your best. I'm not talking about acting fake, just about making a good first impression on your first face-to-face meeting.
I went on a blind date with a guy who I had been talking to on the phone. I cut work early, did my hair, wore my best casual. He had told me that he had the day off and would be early, so I got to the rendevous even earlier. He showed up in a sweat suit, unshaven face, dirty hair, and flip-flops. How important are first impressions to you, when meeting face to face? |

You can all refer to me as shallow, if you want. I spent 10 years on the dating scene doing the 'dutch' thing.
GUYS DON'T LIKE YOU TO PAY ON THE FIRST DATE. I had one tell me I was emasculating him...maybe its a 'Southern Boy' thing, I have no clue. On the other dates, we would do the compromise thing. Share fees, come up with ideas for fun stuff to do. Its the first date where they need to feel in control. Not liking what I say, does not make it less true. |
