Im madly in love with this girl, we were going out for two years but she dumped me two weeks before valentines day because the distance between us was too great and i lost sight of her being my best friend before she was my girlfriend. I pissed her off with some of the things I said when she broke up with me. I spent 3 grand on a valentines day trip for me and her and got screwed out of a refund or anything. Was mad and drunk and said some things I should never have said. I dont want to beg for her forgiveness cuz it will only driver her farther away from me. I dont want to lose her yet i know people grow and move on all the time. I told her id find her in five years just to come say hi. My feelings may be different by then who knows. All I want to know is if you love someone enough and you care about them can you keep them alive in your memories without contacting them for that long of a time? Please be truthful with ur advice, ive gotten the "time heals all wounds" treatment for weeks and quite frankly its just pissin me off even though i know its true. So just be blunt as you wish. Thank you and i bid you all a fond adieu

So the only reason was b/c of distance?
We all say things when we're hurt and angry, that stuff we can apologize for and ask for forgiveness as long as it's not a normal thing... I have thoughts/opinions but don't have enough information to know if they're valid... |

Distance was a major factor, our communication went stale after a while too. Kinda like text book responses. Didn't see it till it was too late. Maybe it's just time for me to move on. I wish it never happened this way but You can't learn unless you make mistakes

So, let me make sure I understand. You spent a lot of money, drove a long way, got drunk, yelled at her and told her you're going to stalk her for the next five years.
What? That didn't work? Forget her ASAP. Go out this weekend and talk to at least 10 different women and don't mention your former girlfriend. |

Sometimes when the magic leaves it is GONE! This is one of those times! Better to leave her behind and move on because you are only heading headlong into more heartache!

I never went on the trip, she broke up with me and I just said **** it. Became a bit of a recluse for a couple days. I was hung up and wouldnt stop annoying her for the first two days, got drunk as god knows what one night and lost my lid on the phone. Havent spoken to her since. havent tried to either. No im not stalking her. Blocked every way of contacting her except one. If she needs anything she knows how to reach me. She was my best friend before she was my girlfriend. I miss that ya know. I know at a young age your more likely to forget and move on and im sure thats probably what will happen. Im not holding any hopes close to my heart but one day it would be nice to be friends again. Maybe itll happen maybe it wont. Just wondering if such a thing is a possibility from your guys point of view

Once the text book responses start it usually means the interest is waining.. I say it's time to move on... |

That chick was running scared brother. Obviously not the right one, so i would take it as 'experience' on what 'not' to look for next time.
FLAKEY CHICK WHO MAKES ME SPEND MONEY AND DUMPS ME....cross a line through that one. |
