Last friday:

The younger crowd did not think I could swing up on my horse. I showed them, and pulled a groin muscle

While trimming two wild horses; one kicked me and the other stomped my foot

In teaching a horse to lay down It jerked to get up and pulled the muscles in my hand

And now I am posting in the over 50 forum.

So what do you think; should I shoot myself right now or give it more time?

There is no free will in most religious environment. It is the ruse used to make the religious recruits understand why people will not choose to be a part of the religion.

Sorry, I do not understand what you are saying

In most religious environments the "free will" is a ruse used to make the religious see choices others make outside of the followers religion as something god made/allowed to happen (showing no free will). Also there can be no free will in an environment with an entity that claims to know and influence what his/her/its subjects do.

Yes I agree many man-made religions; some calling themselves christian and non-christian do just as you describe. Nevertheless it is untrue of the Truth.

For example, me a mere man can influence you on this forum. Lets say I am rude to you; you will most likely be rude back.I figured you would do that. But it was still your choice, ie "free will"

I believe you misunderstand "free will"; it does not mean 'without consequence".

explain how it can be "Free" ...if you have to "pay" consequences

Who said you always have to pay consequences? Sometimes you are rewarded consequences, and sometimes there are no consequences.

What do you call it when that happens???

Free will = the freedom to exercise your will, (cost or not)

By definition you would make satan; God and God; satan.
The reason for the "tree" ....without a choice there is no free will, without free will there is no love, without love there is no intimate relationship, without relationship there is no life.

the fact that Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden of eden for making a choice only proves they had no "Free Will"... because using their supposed "Free Will" did "cost" Adam and Eve something and therefore wasn't "Free"

this is why only Gods have "Free Will" because they are supposedly omnipotent and not governed by choice that result in consequences to themselves

I believe you misunderstand "free will"; it does not mean 'without consequence".
The humans had the freedom Not to eat from the tree, which would have produced different consequences.
Free will is the freedom to chose, the result of the choice may be a cost or blessing or nothing; depending or on the choice.

In fact *thinking outside the box* The only thing you are not free to do is NOT choose; for not choosing is a choice in itself

Genesis 1: 26
...God said, "Let us make man in our image......and let them rule......over all the creatures of the earth....

God said let them rule, but you didn't list anything that Adam and Eve did that displayed that they actually ruled over the animals ...tilling the soil and giving animals names is not ruling them

However,..if the human chose to gain knowledge in a manner that was against God's advice, independent from God, then felt shame for it, ruining their relationship with God; the human gained more than just general knowledge, but the knowledge of good and evil. This does not make "knowledge" bad, just the manner in which it is gained. In this sense knowledge could be considered a "gift from Satan", but more correctly considered "bait from Satan"

or perhaps bait from God..Satan didn't place the tree of good and evil in the garden...God did ...

Yes, there are guys who don't do porn. In some cases they have done enough of it and are tired of the whole thing. They are out there and are waiting for the right person. To wait until the honeymoon is an ideal thing. Many people use the excuse of "trying out the product" before wanting to commit to marriage. This is the problem. Someone might not want to get stuck in a relationship with someone they are incompatible with. God created sex, not the devil. The devil has taken over the idea and has thrown mud on it. God directed a sexual act in the Old Testament. "Earth is mine," he says, "and the fullness thereof." Therefore, if we ask for wisdom or knowledge in any matter, it will be given to us. We need not be embarrassed as the unbelievers want us to be. Abraham's seed means exactly that. Seed. "To the pure all things are pure, but to the defiled nothing is pure." Our sexuality was given to us by the Almighty, "Be frutiful and multuiply." Don't let the world own what belongs to God. Take it back.

AMEN!

Is Knowledge a Gift from Satan?

No,the humans already had knowledge.....They "knew" eating from the tree had consequences. Satan is not a giver of gifts; he robs steals and destroys. The only "gift" Satan gave was a temptation to know good from evil; much in the same way a person might seduce a married person to cheat on their spouse. While they are going through a divorce and clearing up their STDs, they to will be 'blessed' with the "gift" of knowledge of good and evil.

there is nothing in the bible that indicate that Adam and Eve had any more knowledge than what the other animals in the garden of eden had, so could it be said that if another animal had eaten from the fruit that the the other animal also "knew" the consequences, God didn't teach he would only speak... the gift Satan gave to Mankind was the desire to learn beyond what God was willing to teach

Genesis 1: 26
...God said, "Let us make man in our image......and let them rule......over all the creatures of the earth....

Genesis 2:16
...God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.......God commanded the man "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.

Clearly man was created different and was placed in different position than the animals.

Humans in this life are much like a egg in a womans womb. Unfertilized it just passes on. But when the Spirit of the Creator enters a human it is like the sperm that enters the egg...life begins. Fertilized or unfertilized while in this life we are still in the womb. Death in this life is much like leaving the womb. The fertilized egg leaves as a new life into a new world. The unfertilized egg leaves the womb on a tampon.

How does this mesh with your religion, belief,or mindset?

Religion = man working to appease God or attain some goal.

True Spirituality = man accepting the unmerited favor and love of the God who created him ; allowing The Spirit of God to live in and work through him.

Religion = a job

True Spirituality = a relationship

Well, if I need to become a broken man who is full of sin and remorse to win the favor of the biblical God, then all I can do is say that I'll place my FAITH in the HOPE that it's as false as it can possibly be.

I want no parts of a God who lusts only for broken down remorseful sinners and condemns all the rigtheous people to eternal damnation.

You can keep him all to yourself. drinker

Ab... You are getting closer to the truth, in fact right on it.:

Matthew 9:12-13
On hearing this, Jesus said "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'For I desire mercy, not sacrifice'.For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
