No Jesus didn't "die" for our sins. Jesus was crucified for our sins.

crucify just means being hung on a cross...that happenned to a lot of people so it's nothing special...it's not like Jesus died or anything....

Jesus did nothing to deserve this. He didn't kill anyone, didn't steal, didn't do anything in that nature. He was crucified for being the son of God, he sacrificed himself so that we may have the way to be forgiven of our sins.

sorry Cowboy... but since Jesus didn't "die" on the cross as you yourself claim.....then he sacrificed nothing.......

HEBREWS 10:5-10

5Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:

“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,

but a body you prepared for me;

6with burnt offerings and sin offerings

you were not pleased.

7Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—

I have come to do your will, O God.’”a

8First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them” (although the law required them to be made). 9Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been made holy through >>>>>>the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ<<<< once for all.

2sparrows...what you posted basically confirm that Jesus was on some sort of suicide mission and suicide is a sin....but either way if Jesus did not die on the cross then he made no scarifice ....a sacrifice would have been if Jesus ceased to exist, but of course Jesus wasn't about to sacrifice that

this is why many christians try to claim that Jesus died on the cross for their sins because they can't see any type of sacrifice that took place ...

HEBREWS9:20-26

think “This blood confirms the covenant God has made with you.”think j 21And in the same way, he sprinkled blood on the Tabernacle and on everything used for worship. 22In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood.think For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.think

23That is why the Tabernacle and everything in it, which were copies of things in heaven, had to be purified by the blood of animals. But the real things in heaven had to be purified with far better sacrifices than the blood of animals.

24For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with human hands, which was only a copy of the true one in heaven. He entered into heaven itself to appear now before God on our behalf. 25And he did not enter heaven to offer himself again and again, like the high priest here on earth who enters the Most Holy Place year after year with the blood of an animal. 26If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the agekthink to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice.think

Does anybody believe god knows everything that will happen and also in hell?

6“This is what the Lord says—

Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty:

I am the first and I am the last;

apart from me there is no God.

7Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it.

Let him declare and lay out before me

what has happened since I established my ancient people,
***************************************************************************

and what is yet to come—

yes, let him foretell what will come.

8Do not tremble, do not be afraid.

Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago?
***************************************************************************

You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me?

No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.”

fear is the beginning of knowledge?....are you sure this is a God of love ...wouldn't it be the same as if you married the person that would one day murder you

Easton's Bible Dictionary
Fear of the Lord

Is in the Old Testament used as a designation of true piety (Proverbs 1:7; Job 28:28; Psalm 19:9). It is a fear conjoined with love and hope, and is therefore not a slavish dread, but rather filial reverence. (Comp. Deuteronomy 32:6; Hosea 11:1; Isaiah 1:2; 63:16; 64:8.) God is called "the Fear of Isaac" (Genesis 31:42, 53), i.e., the God whom Isaac feared.

A holy fear is enjoined also in the New Testament as a preventive of carelessness in religion, and as an incentive to penitence (Matthew 10:28; 2 Corinthians 5:11; 7:1; Philippians 2:12; Ephesians 5:21; Hebrews 12:28, 29).

Okay...

So what's your interpretation on that and whole matter at hand?

"12But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish."

How do you feel about the idea that beings are created only to eventually suffer and be destroyed? This piece, to me, at least represents that god maintains the foreknowledge to push existing events in favor of his bidding, which is still to say that if he had not created anything then there would be no need for a hell or judgment whatsoever.

What are your thoughts on this?

ROMANS 9:14-24

14What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15For he says to Moses,

“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,

and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”f

16It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”g 18Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

19One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?” 20But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”h 21Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

22What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? 23What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— 24even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

PSALM 19:1-4

The heavens declare the glory of God;

the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2Day after day they pour forth speech;

night after night they display knowledge.

3There is no speech or language

where their voice is not heard.a

4Their voice goes out into all the earth,

their words to the ends of the world.

2 PETER 2:4-12

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell,a putting them into gloomy dungeonsb to be held for judgment; 5if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men 8(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— 9if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.c 10This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful natured and despise authority.

Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings; 11yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord. 12But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish.
