You can't always get what you want, it's a simple fact of life.
Personally I find it very selfish and hypocritical to say that anyone
would refuse to compromise. How can you expect to preach about peace,
yet refuse to waver in what you believe to be the ideal? Every person
is an individual, they all have their own beliefs, their own moral
values, their own quirks. If there were none willing to compromise,
nothing would ever be accomplished. I can understand what you're trying
to say, as far as a relationship goes, but I think you're approaching it
wrong. Perhaps a better way would have been to say that you refuse to
settle for anything less than your expectations. Think of it this
way... Even something as simple as a kiss is a compromise. You adjust
the tilt of your head, the placement of your lips/tongue, the softness
of your kiss, all based upon the likewise reactions of the person your
kissing. If we didn't compromise in this, what would we have? A bad or
worse yet, unwanted kiss.

Wow, that's a new one to me... Guess it was bound to start happening
with these gas prices though...

the last one was destroyed when a pipe burst.

Went to a local bar that has live shows (usually local bands) every
friday and saturday. Drank 2 pitchers of budweiser (bastards didn't
have my guinness, and amberbach didn't fall under the $3 pitcher
special). The band was kinda bad (it was an AC/DC cover band, and I
usually kinda like AC/DC), and there wasn't much of a crowd. On the
bright side though, me and the friends I was out with had a decent time
bashing on the band and BSing. It was all good till one of the guys got
sick, and I had to take him home. Then I hopped on here for a few
minutes, then went to sleep.

You know, I honestly try not to curse most of the time, but I can't help
it.

I'm Italian, from new jersey, and in the military.... so yeah...

Oh come on now mach, don't let ONE woman get ya down. Maybe she was
there with someone already, or was too nervous to dance, or just didn't
want to dance. Either way it's not a big deal, suck it up and move on.
Everyone gets shot down every now and then.

Just stationed in KY at the moment.

Normally I'd be up for that, but it was kind of a boring night. Went to
a bar that's normally packed, but they had some AC/DC cover band playing
that was... well... bad. Not only that, but they wouldn't let me get my
$3 pitchers with Amberbach, only bud and bud light...and I don't like
training beers :P
