haha. here we go... i happen to like the taste of urine in my corn flakes. Seems to me you're the one with ruffled feathers. If you don't like the responses you get then don't make the post. Pretty simple, no? You take exception to this site and some of the people on it. If POF is better than what's keeping you here? Geez... I didn't know this was an "either/or" issue. Generally it's not. However, he's expressed displeasure with this site and it's people on several occasions. If the grass is greener on the other side than why not relocate altogether? I'm not privy to the history. I think both sites bring different things to the table. |

some thoughts...i like this site the forums are fun i have met some great people (granted i have also met alot of pinheads and train wrecks) but i am convinced i will NEVER meet a woman in my local area i am also convinced i will NEVER meet a woman who is willing to relocate so to sum up,the forums are fun but trying to meet someone to date is pretty much a waste of time be seeing you I agree. But since we are here in the forums, you never know who might take a fancy to you! |

It's just a thing with some women. Being referred to as "ma'am" implies we are old... and whether we are or not, we don't want to admit it.

I am 2nd of 4; all raised in the same house but our experiences were a bit different. My father was career military and retired when I was 15. My younger siblings did not experience the same things I did (moving every 2 years).
With that said I think a lot has to do with genetics. Though the same parents produced all 4 children, there are great similarities and differences. I also feel birth order plays a role... but not as much as genetics. |

I moved 600 miles from my ex but I involved him in the decision to move. I have a good relationship with him and he is my child's father. The ex agreed and I insured the child went back for school breaks and most of the summer.
It was a great move for me and my son did not suffer. They have a wonderful relationship. |

why I checked
|
|
I'm glad I'm not the only one checking up on my 11 year old's phone. She knows that for now, her texting is NOT private. If she abuses the privileges of the phone, she gets it taken away. So glad you found out the guy was sending stuff AND you got his name! Doubt that will be happening again....lol. And to the man who thinks 11 years old is too young......it is young, but some of us have circumstances that work better if we have instant communication with our kids. Ask around, you'll find that 50% or probably more of the kids in the 10-11 year old range have them now. You can outfit them with tracking systems and block any features you don't want them using. We don't even have home phones around here much anymore. If your children were home, you wouldn't need tracking systems. People today allow thir kids to run around like cats, I just don't get it. I disagree with your comments. Having children in activities is good for them. In my youth, my mother didn't work and had time to sit around and wait for practices to be over. Working parents don't have as much latitude in that department. |

why I checked

my daughter's phone... My 11 year old recently got a cell phone and I decided to check and see who's she's talking to. I'm a "mean mom" that way So I found these joke texts... very inappropriate jokes for an 11 year old kid on her phone. So I text him to find out who it is... This grown man calls her phone, so I question him on how he knows my daughter. He told me it was his friends old # and he swears he didn't know it wasn't his anymore. When I informed him he's texting an 11 year old lil kid he seemed scared sh!tless I think he might need a new pair of jeans on after the phone call I just had with him I think 11 is way too young for a cell phone. I agree Jill. My kids have had cell phones for a long time (now 26 and 21). I take great comfort in being able to stay in contact with my child. |

I don't do drugs either but feel pot should be legal. I would much rather my child get into a car with someone who has been smoking weed than someone who has been drinking.
I've never heard of a fight breaking out after people have been smoking... |
