I don't do drugs so I guess the answer is against, but I also stand strongly for individuals freedom so the answer is I am not sure

I don't do drugs either, but when I think of legalizing Marijuana I use alcohol as the standard. It is a more powerful and toxic drug yet it is legal...

I am from Europe where almost every where they smoke it and was legalized recently.
Like I said individual's liberty is very important so Yes or no is in balance
As for alcohol the difference is it has been always legal subject to taxes but been prohibited for a short period of time while the substance in question has always been illegal except for a short period of time and that in Europe and now in California. So the consequences of legalization are not so well known and hence must thread cautiously.

You know it always makes me laugh when I here people that drink say they are against weed. A person is more wild on alcohol then they are after smoking a joint. I say legalize it and treat it the same way as cigarettes and and alcohol. It would bring the government a lot more money, as well as saving them money in the court systems. And right now with a recession going on I am sure that they can use all the money that they can get there hands on.

I kinds like it the way it is right now

if its legalized the govt will get involved and you KNOW they will screw everything up. I kinda like it barely decriminalized but not legal enough for the corporate people to get a hold of it

I don't do drugs either but feel pot should be legal. I would much rather my child get into a car with someone who has been smoking weed than someone who has been drinking.

I've never heard of a fight breaking out after people have been smoking...

I am actually just sitting here burning one right now. And I see nothing wrong with it. I got called into work tonight after being out with a friend all day, and it is nice to sit down at my computer and just relax with one. just like people do with a bottle of beer or a glass of wine or what not.

So many die in Europe driving stoned out of their heads though.

The records are as similar as drinking. It slows down the reactions and we in Europe have a law against being under influence of drugs as well as alcohol
