I think absolute Nr 1 (for me)... Ghost with Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg.

The Ugly Truth - rom-com with Gerard Butler & Katherine Heigl

Don't watch many romance movies, "Behind the green door", maybe?

Great question...! It's subjective and a dying genre, nevertheless, I have a few that I consider outstanding romantic films:

"Cinema Paradiso" (1988)

"Notting Hill" (1999)

"Under The Tuscan Sun" (2003)

I love the classics as well, but didn't want to name the obvious ones. :rose:

I love all of these too... I had a chance to watch "To Sir With Love" when my Dad was in recovery and it honestly was a chef's kiss. Beautiful! Bravo!

While You Were Sleeping is on my list. A very long list of films I'm trying to get through. I know a little about the film and the romantic in me already created a playlist inspired by the name on Spotify.

I don't like any of these movies. I'm not a romance movie person.

Sad but unfortunately very real;
"Splendor in the Grass" with Warren Beatty & Natalie Wood (1961).
It was my late wife's favorite movie.

As for my own, the love story in "The Last of the Mohicans" (1992) between Daniel Day-Lewis & Madeleine Stowe is one which makes my eyes water every time.
I Will Find You (Clannad)
I can't hear the haunting vocals of Máire Philomena & Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin in that song without my soul ripping right out of my chest in anguish.

The scene where Hawkeye, Uncas, & Chingachgook go tearing off up the water-worn smooth rock side of the river accompanied by the song "Promentory" (Clannad) appears in my brain every time I close my eyes & think about that movie.
I can feel Hawkeye's desperation so intensely in that scene.

Having died once in 2006 I am not a believer in life after death, but if there is ANY chance of it being so, I WILL find her there when my time comes as well.
