Mom is the queen of our hearts! 🤍
Please correct me if I was wrong, but no matter in which language we say always means the same beautiful person. Australia and New Zeland - Mum Arabic - Ahm American English - Mom Africans - Moeder Canadian - Mom Dutch - Moeder English - Mom, Mama, Mommy, Mummy Esperanto - Patrino French - Maman Filipino - Ina German - Mutter Hindi - Ma Ireland - Ma Italian - Mamma Spanish - Mami Swiss German - Mueter Swahili - Mama, Mzazi Turkish - Anne Beautiful day for All Moms! |

I think in many languages "mama" is known :)
In Dutch we also use that although mostly when children are still young. When they get older it's 'ma' or 'mam'. My daughter sometimes types 'mama' though in a WhatsApp message for instance, and she turns 29 Thursday next. That always makes me melt, it's so sweet! In any case... my daughter is coming over in a bit. My son sent me a voice message. He can't come over as he's the chef cook in a restaurant and has to work. But I'm happy both thought of it. Me is feeling the Mama Day vibe for sure! |

In Scotland we don’t say mom or mommy. It’s usually mum and if you speak slang then you would say ‘maw’, ‘ma’ or ‘mammy’.

My friends and I don’t speak slang but one of my friends calls her mum “my wee maw’ as her mum is 4’7 whereas my friend is 5’8 |

Oul wan (Old one) would be like Dublin slang for your mom
In Ireland, "Mothering Sunday" is also celebrated on a different day, I think, 3 weeks before Easter Sunday. Anyway, as it stands, this will be my last Mother's Day in Ireland anyway. |

But I go over in July first, to do some paperwork and organisational stuff. It will take til the end of the year, or early next year, but the decision to move back, is final. My parents are not well, and they need me. |

I wasn't around when my mother passed and I will always regret that decision. So make the most of your time with them. |
