It was sure great to see!
There were 4 seals being released. When they opened the baskets they all came out and as a group went to the same spot to enter the water. Two were off in no time! Their heads came up a few times, then they disappeared, back to their habitat and freedom.
The other two however, haha. They were lingering, like tourists would, dipping a toe in and thinking "that water is damn cold!"
They kept hopping back & forth, but then the people from the shelter hold up large black screens, while staying some 6 meters from the seals still. I guess that helps to convince them to go into the water?
Finally they were off, or so we thought, but then they came back again
At least I got a good look at them, but eventually I decided to go home. I guess that back & forth thing can go on for quite some time.

I intend to go to the seal shelter this month :) I'd planned to do that earlier but life got busy so it didn't happen. It's not too far from me, about 20 mins by car. Then you get to see where and how they take care of the seals that need nurturing back to health, sometimes surgery etc.
I've planned to become a contributor on monthly basis. I cancelled another thingie in order to do that. I'd like to help the seal shelter as they do such good work! And it's different from donating to another cause that you cannot see or visit.

In any case, it was a fun outing!

Go to another village to put money in my bank account with the ATM, the closest one to my home.

Decided to nose around in a clothes shop, and found the sweatvest I'd been looking for online for days on end!!
I bought it, of course, and finally found a nice teddy fleece vest too for the colder evenings :)

OT: My day is nearly over, but I spent the morning assembling Halloween treat bags to give out to the teachers and staff at my school (while my cleaning lady cleaned my apartment). Then I went and got a mani/pedi, followed by lunch and shisha. Pretty good day!

Painting the new wood of the garage with opaque (solid colour) stain. It's been dry for days, although a tad moist at night. But should be possible now, especially since it's stain, not paint.

Daytime... help my sister finish installing the toilet, and possibly the shower, in my mobile home.

Tonight... Go to the full moon drum circle.

Sometime throughout the day... make a phone call to a very dear friend.

Cleaning……ugh!

Working on the garage, more English red stain. But this time I used thinner as it is such hard work on new wood when not diluted a bit. It did help.

Waiting for my book to arrive :)
Will take at least another two hours. With painting on the garage done for now there's plenty of time to cook, eat, maybe watch a movie before my book gets here.

Meet up with friends

Driving to the dump to get rid of corrugated roof sheets, provided I can get them in my car. They're 2m long so it's going to be a challenge to get that done!
I need to get rid of them to make space in the garage and unfortunately they're not going to walk themselves to the dump. I've waited 2 weeks but nope, no movement.

add some new trim around my fireplace... and then go out and enjoy this suddenly great weather we just got !!!
