Trump says he wants Israel's border wall. That means he actually wants smart fences.
"By Feb. 15, we will have either another government shutdown, a spurious national emergency declaration, or a deal on President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful wall” at our southern border". Ann Coulter helped prompt Trump to reject an earlier bipartisan border security bill, and declared: “I would like exactly what Israel has.” Trump echoed her in holding up Israel’s example: “If you really want to find out how effective a wall is, just ask Israel — 99.9 percent effective. And our wall will be every bit as good as that, if not better.” Yet neither Trump nor his television muse appears to realize that Israel generally does not rely upon a wall. And when it does, it is only to combat direct terrorist threats in high-risk areas, not to stop migrants. In fact, a compromise would be to give Trump the "wall" he says he wants like the one in Israel — in other words, a smart fence. http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2019/02/06/donald-trump-end-border-wall-standoff-israel-smart-fences-column/2768082002/ Trump Wanted $20 Million for 2006 Moscow Deal, Developer Says "(Bloomberg) -- Donald Trump’s dream of putting his name on a tower in Moscow came with a hefty price tag: $20 million". http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-02-06/trump-wanted-20-million-for-2006-moscow-deal-developer-says Trump has a long financial history with Russia. As summarized by Jonathan Chait in an invaluable New York magazine article: “From 2003 to 2017, people from the former USSR made 86 all-cash purchases — a red flag of potential money laundering — of Trump properties, totaling $109 million. In 2010, the private-wealth division of Deutsche Bank also loaned him hundreds of millions of dollars during the same period it was laundering billions in Russian money. ‘Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,’ said Donald Jr. in 2008. ‘We don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia,’ boasted Eric Trump in 2014.” According to Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s guilty plea of lying to Congress, Trump was even pursuing his dream of building a Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign with the help of a Vladimir Putin aide. These are the kind of financial entanglements that intelligence services such as the FSB typically use to ensnare foreigners, and they could leave Trump vulnerable to blackmail. — The Russians interfered in the 2016 U.S. election to help elect Trump president. — Trump encouraged the Russians to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails on July 27, 2016 (“Russia, if you’re listening”), on the very day that Russian intelligence hackers tried to attack Clinton’s personal and campaign servers. — There were, according to the Moscow Project, “101 contacts between Trump’s team and Russia linked operatives,” and “the Trump team tried to cover up every single one of them.” The most infamous of these contacts was the June 9, 2016, meeting at Trump Tower between the Trump campaign high command and a Kremlin emissary promising dirt on Clinton. Donald Trump Jr.’s reaction to the offer of Russian assistance? “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.” — The Trump campaign was full of individuals, such as Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates and Michael Flynn, with suspiciously close links to Moscow. — Manafort, who ran the Trump campaign for free and was heavily in debt to a Russian oligarch, now admits to offering his Russian business partner, who is suspected of links to Russian intelligence, polling data that could have been used to target the Russian social media campaign on behalf of Trump. — Trump associate Roger Stone, who was in contact with Russian conduit WikiLeaks, reportedly knew in advance that the Russians had hacked Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails. (Stone has denied it .) — Once in office, Trump fired Comey to stop the investigation of the “Russia thing” — and then bragged about having done so to the Russian ambassador and foreign minister while also sharing with them top-secret information. Later, Trump fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions because he would not end the special counsel investigation that resulted after the firing of Comey. As Lawfare editor Benjamin Wittes argues, “the obstruction was the collusion” — Trump has been effectively protecting the Russians by trying to impede the investigation of their attack on the United States. — Trump has refused to consistently acknowledge that Russia interfered in the U.S. election or mobilize a government-wide effort to stop future interference. He has accepted Putin’s protestations that the Russians did not meddle in the election over the “high confidence” assessment of the U.S. intelligence community that they did. — Like no previous president, Trump attacks and undermines the Justice Department and the FBI (“a cancer in our country”) — two institutions that stand on the front lines of combatting Russian espionage and influence operations in the United States. — Again, like no previous president, Trump attacks and undermines the European Union and NATO — he has suggested that France should leave the E.U. and that the United States should leave NATO, reportedly saying, “NATO is as bad as NAFTA.” The E.U. and NATO are the two major obstacles to Russian designs in Europe. — Trump supports populist, pro-Russian leaders in Europe, such as Viktor Orban in Hungary and Marine Le Pen in France, just as the Russians do. — Trump has praised Putin (“a strong leader”) while trashing just about everyone else from grade-B Hollywood celebrities to leaders of allied nations. Trump even praised Putin for expelling U.S. diplomats and, notwithstanding instruction from his aides (“DO NOT CONGRATULATE”), congratulated Putin on winning a rigged reelection. — Trump was utterly supine in his meetings with Putin, principally in Hamburg and Helsinki. Even more suspicious, according to a Post article on Saturday, Trump “has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal details of his conversations with . . . Putin, including on at least one occasion taking possession of the notes of his own interpreter and instructing the linguist not to discuss what had transpired with other administration officials . . |

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You just can't make this shyt up. In part, Trump Jr. tweeted the meme — a photo of the women with the words "NOT ONE AMERICAN FLAG AMONG THEM" across it — to his 3.3 million followers on Wednesday, adding, "Speaks for itself and no one is at all surprised." After tweeting the meme, many people challenged Trump Jr. by sharing a photograph he shared of his own family right before the State of the Union address. Here it is. As you may have noticed, not one of these seven individuals — including Trump Jr. himself — appears to be wearing a flag pin. Hmm...One might go so far is to say there is "Not one American flag among them," and that perhaps their choice to not wear American flag pins to the State of the Union "speaks for itself." https://www.yahoo.com/news/donald-trump-jr-shared-meme-155925213.html I also dont quite get how such little things like lapels, or kneeling can mean so much and how big things like insulting Mexicans and bragging about harassing women or talking about prisoners of war when one fakes bone spurs to avoid the military are barely considered noticing. Symbolism and symbolic gestures never really impressed me one way or the other though. A person can wear a uniform and still go home and abuse their spouse. It is an individuals ACTUAL treatment of others and their ACTUAL words that matter most when it comes to assessing their character or patriotisim or whatever. |

Trump campaign paid legal fees to firm representing Jared Kushner
"President Donald Trump's campaign has spent nearly $100,000 of donor money to pay legal bills to the firm representing Jared Kushner, the latest campaign finance records show. The president's re-election campaign made two payments to the firm, Winston & Strawn LLP – $55,330 and $42,574. The expenditures were payments to Kushner's attorney Abbe Lowell for Kushner’s legal fees, sources with knowledge of the payments told to ABC News. Lowell joined the firm in May 2018". http://www.yahoo.com/gma/trump-campaign-paid-legal-fees-firm-representing-jared-173506767.html Keep in mind that the main difference between the campaign finance system we currently have in the U.S. and outright bribery is that campaign contribution is supposed to be used only for campaigns. Obama trippled the US debt. Thankfully his terms were over and someone got in office of President, who knows something about growing the Economy. Leftist know how to spend with no real plans in place to benefit this Country! They suck at most things but supporting thousands of ILLEGALS . incorrect actually. On January 20, 2009, debt stood at $10.6 trillion When Mr. Trump took office on Jan. 20, 2017, the national debt was $19.9 trillion that is twice the debt, not triple, it is 9.3 trillion increase, if we look at the numbers simplistically and not by actual fiscal year budgets. That is an average of 1.2 trillion per year Today, the debt is 21.9 trillion http://www.usdebtclock.org/ which is an increase of 2 trillion, only .2 trillion less per year than Obama, who came in after several quarters of RECESSION. comparatively, not FACTUALLY any better. |

They live in a Fancy with no real Logic what help a Country thrive and not be Destroy . for those living in the world of MATH, 19.9(Debt on inauguration 2017) is ALMOST double 10.6(debt on inauguration 2009). now, debt did nearly TRIPLE under Raegan, from 934B( debt on inauguaration 1981), to 2.6 T when he left in 1989 (inauguration 1989). 2.6 is nearly THREE times 1. |

Very. Correct. Obama was long overdue to be out of office. No other President. Trippled the debt in this Country. Leftist cannot except True facts. They live in a Fancy with no real Logic what help a Country thrive and not be Destroy . what school taught that 19 is THREE times 10? Perhaps this education explains how some voted for Trump. for those living in the world of MATH, that is doubling the debt. now debt nearly TRIPLED under Raegan, from 998B in 1981, to 2.8 T when he left in 1989. 3 is THREE times 1. Another reason why a wall will not work. Larger groups seen crossing border as overall arrests drop "SAN DIEGO (AP) — Central Americans are increasingly entering the United States illegally in groups of at least 100 people in rugged, remote stretches of the Mexican border, authorities said Friday upon releasing January figures that show total arrests fell for a second straight month". http://www.apnews.com/0403c615071749c5a0f4a80e3350f9a9 |

if walls don't work, why do rich people insist on living in a gated community?? Why do they have walls around their property, or why do they have bodyguards ?? Someone should have let the air out of all those bus tires bringing more people to our border. We do not want their parasitic diseases, their lack of education, their cheap labor (or our own corrupt employers). We do not want to support them when we have poor people in our own country who are CITIZENS of the US of A.

WE do not all think in stereotypes that see immigrants as being uneducated and diseased who should not receive our help from terrible environments and circumstances. |
